Personally I enjoy playing with players from other countries. I know my view point is a bit skewed because I can speak English and Spanish. With Spanish being my second language I enjoy conversing with other Spanish speaking cultures to practice and better understand the different dialects that exist between the many cultures that speak Spanish.

We call ourselves Americans because we are better than everybody else. This is also why everyone else hates Americans.

It's not racism to hate a country or people from a country.

I hate Canadians.... *HATE*.... Canadians... but have no issues with White, Black or Hispanic Canadians because of the color of your skin. The same way so many people hate Americans. Race has nothing to do with it.

Oh, that would be jinogism then.

Wut ?
You're saying it is understandable to hate americans but not spanish ?
Ever heard of the Inquisition, Aztecs, Incas, Franco ? There are plenty of "reasons" to hate any country.

Ignore them.

If you get kicked for racism (I mean THEY are racists, you get the point), then would you stay playing with them if they would let you? I don't think so. By doing what they did, they revealed themselves as racist idiots, which means that by kicking you they are actually saving you the trouble, reluctance and discomfort of playing with them to start with. I know it hurts by the way, I'm not "American" myself and my native language is not English, but I can assure you that racism in multi-player games has existed for about as long as multi-player games themselves (with microphones or chat interface).

You better let them idiots for themselves and search for a game until you see that no one says anything special (or anything at all) and just lean back, relax and enjoy your MP match for what it is without worrying about any of them players being wondering anything about you outside of the game.

Yeah, I do. Jingoism is when you hold up one nationality over another in a manner similar to racism. Since Gankstah isn't calling hatred of one nationality racism, I substituted the nationalist label - jingoism, the dark side of patriotism.

And yes, I am fully aware that BioWare is Canadian.

Personally, I have nothing against Canadians or Canada. This is my response to Gankstah.

Btw, it's not like we invented the term "Americans"; it was assigned to us more than a century before we became a country.

Simply that. I've got kicked 4 times this week for only being from Spain. They see that in my PS3's player ID and I listen to them through their mics insulting me and saying how stupid and useless I am (even if I played a lot better than them ingame) and then got kicked because "I'm spanish and is not possible that I have internet" and BS like that.

The last ones to do that, were "spicebaby96" and "RyoTkm" (PS3). Congrats, you succeed kicking me, now you can play better with people from your own country.

I know I'm not the only one being kicked for non-sense things like that, I hope everyone can play with everyone without that kind of stupid racism and country-hate.

As rough as this will sound, welcome to the internet.

This is a world where there is little responsability left to the user for their actions. Move on, and find a better group to play with, besides when they wipe because their all crap players, they'll wish they had you in their group ;)

This one speaks the truth. Racist people are simply saving you the trouble of shunning them. If people want to be jerks, let them. Such attitudes only draw other jerks to them. You think their friendships are genuine? Not likely. They're like hyenas, they'll turn on each other eventually.

I am fully aware of the meaning of jingoism and didn't mean to add your quote. I only meant to add Gankstah's quote, sorry about that.

Sorry OP, but it works both ways. When I lived at Torrevieja for a while. I got called a typical Anglais when I dived in a pool. Got a mouth full of insects. I didn't know the pool hadn't been cleaned.
Plus, two little Spanish dogs kept chasing after me all the time. Bit me twice. That's racism right there.Image IPB
