1) Same PC, I grew attached to mine, it would be dumb to start a new character after putting so much effort into the first. If your character sacrificed themself, then you can create a new one.

2) One more party slot (to bring it up to five) that way groups can have some variety.

3) Takes place 10 years after Origins. Any longer seems too long, any shorter than 6-7 seems too short.

4) Return of characters. Not Allistair because he could be still with you, but could also be either: dead, wandering drunk, king. Wynn would also have passed by this point. Morrigan would not be a companion, you are trying to find her. So returning characters would be Leliana, Sten, Zevran, Oghren, Shale. Unless of course you killed any of them, then they are not available (your choices have consequences!). If your character sacrificed themself and you start a new one then they are all available. Then introduce more characters. 2-3 more mages (one good, neutral, evil). One more rogue, and 1-2 more warriors.

5) Better mage equipment. My mage (2nd playthrough) is level 18 and wearing the same stuff he has had since around level 10.

6) More enchanting, on things like bows and armor.

7) Area outside of Ferelden, my bet is Orlais.

8) More conversations, or at least longer conversations. All the voice acting was one of my favorite parts, they were a bit too short for certain interactions. Like, if you are just shooting the s**t, then short is fine. But detailed character analysis should be longer.

9) Make it seem like the companions care about you more. The only time you got a gift was when romancing someone. Like someone said before, oftentimes you come face to face with the very person you are seeking vengeance against, and your companions just sit there silent. If they really cared, they, too, would be threatening that person.

10) More specializations, or classes, and spells and abilities.

-----

And finally, more a request that doesn't have to come with DA2

11) I want a soundtrack of the music!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cheers

1: Alistair indeed. Please use Steve Valentine in future games!

2: Better epilogue... jebas, please, nobody cared that Alistair died, nor did they care my PC lost her love.

3: I would like more party interjections, and more volatile parties, to be honest. I didn't like the gift system at all, besides the plot specific ones. I'd like it to be hard to keep so many different personalities together, have some people refuse to be in the same party with someone, even if they stay in the camp.

4: More to do with the romance... simple things, ala the flirt packs that have been made for Baldur's Gate and NwN2. Holding hands, just leaning on them, cooking them a meal, something like that.

5: I would like harsher decisions, personally... and no way OUT of difficult decisions, like the Circle option with Redcliffe.

6: I was disappointed that there was no mention of your romance to your family, as well. I would have expected some outrage from Shianni if you were with a human, disgust from dwarves, etc, though Rica, I think, would be happy for you.

7: Some actual cowls rather than those hideous jester-hats, please.

8: I would really like to see my character through to her Calling.

9: A chance to see Morrigan.... and kill her.

10: I would really like to see the Grand Cathedral! :3

My list is fairly short as I know whatever Bioware comes up with will, in the end, be awesome.

At the Top of my list: Continue playing the same PC.
Ideally be able to level well past any previous level cap. Either something much, much higher this time, or maybe no level cap at all.

Just below that: Griffons!

Remember the talk with Wynne about that Warden story?
"Does it have Griffons in it?"
"Dear Maker, it's like talking to a child. Yes it has Griffons."

In DA:2 I wanna see not only a much, much larger area where the game takes place, but as a result of this you now fly to your destination on the backs of Griffons!

Hmm...

1) Option to play the same PC (I grew very attached to my elf archer and would love to continue her story). If you sacrificed your PC you would just create a new one.

2) Having some of the same party members and your romantic interest back, and thus continuing your relationships with them.

3) More dialogue options! I love talking to party members.

4) More variety in the way the armor/weapons look

5) A bank or storage of some sort in the party camp would be nice.

...That's all I have, everything else would be in the next expansion/sequel anyway, ie. more places to explore, new monsters, new characters to meet, etc...

I am looking foward to the same rich story telling of DAO. I also want to be able to continue with characters from a previous game and every choice that character made carries over. The idea of a new game equals a clean slate is just something i would like to have to option of, not that i would choose a clean slate. I got really dirty with some of my previous PCs while preparing to fight the blight, and i would like to bear the consequences of those decisions in a later game.

These are really interface options more than game options because i can not complain about this game in any other respect, which is quite odd for me lol.

1) need to be some sort of auto loot function.

2) I should be able to travel from anywhere to anywhere, for example when leaving Haven after the ashes quest the walk out is quite a pain in the ass, i would like to be able to once an area is cleared use the map to travel.

3) I would like to have some sort of hot keyed target selection preferably with 2 hot keys one cycles through hostile targets and the other cycles through friendly targets including those not in your party.

4) I would like to see the quest log a be a little more helpful such as in the "scraping the barrel" quest, would it be to much to ask if the quest log told you either who you delivered the letters to or who still needs a letter delivered. I does get a bit confusing trying to keep the quests organized.

5) I would like some sort of in game ability to customize your armor looks and colors with out having to resort to tool set. I would like to pick a base model of armor and have the stats applied to them in game. For example i could go into wades shop and for a nominal fee change the color scheme on a set of armor, or go into the wonders of thedas an buy a set of robes with the seinior enchanters robe stats but on the robes of the witch model.

anyway that is really all i have to add atm thanks for listening

Most of all I wish more interesting and long storyline in DA 2. Not this boring and dull "Visit four quest locations and kill the main villain" scheme again. I know you can do it, Bioware.

And please, let someone else write the romances, at least romances for female players. It would be horrible to romance some weakling again.

1. Continuation from DA:O, either as a new character or the grey warden from this game.
2. Persisting characters, if they died in the original game then they're dead in this game.
3. Better looking character models, some of the faces looked aweful, while others looked superb. I wish they'd look more like Mass Effect but I know its a different engine.
4. Longer and more intricate storyline, something about the plot from 'The Calling' novel intertwining with the consequences of the DA:O game. What is the fate of the remaining Old Gods, what are certain companions upto ?
5. 5 player groups, 4 was too resticting. Bigger battles.
6. New boss battles, different strategies, challenging and intelligent enemies.
7. More casting animations for Mages (2 was incredibly dull), more variety in staves and robes.
8. A new continent, new culture and environments. choices include Orlais, Tevinter, Anderfels or Nevarra.
9. Griffons ? :P

And finally ..
10. Irenicus level boss .. please ! Deep, understandable and in a class of his own. Image IPB

-Same PC

-A way for my choices from the first game to transfer over

-Morrigan's baby plotline

-More than 4 party members at a time.

-Closure on all of the party members from DA1, whether or not they travel with you this time.

-Takes place in a location other than Fereldan

-A better final villain. The Archdemon was pretty bland in comparision to previous Bioware bosses. Loghain was great but he wasn't the main villain. The Architect maybe?

-A new sword fighting system where we have control over our swings, much like Assasin's Creed

-A dying system where we can determine the colors of our armor and weapons.

1. Same Party Characters
2. Main story line involves a plot to bring down the chantry. The PC and his allies can support the plot or oppose it. Obviously some of the party characters might not like the PC's choice. Which leads to...
3. More interaction between the PC and his/her party more often initiated by party members.
4. Permanent death of some party members.
5. Story line moves around in a larger geo area
6. New races
7. Ability to play an evil character. NOTE: Evil - not psychopath or ****shole which is how the designers of most RPG's seem to believe is what qualifies as evil.

There is a door in the area where you hit the gong and summon the dragon that takes u down to the first floor... so the run out is like 15 seconds after the ashes quest :)

1. More flirting developing romance stuff with love interest preserved from 1st game

2. play the same character from the 1st game if you want

3. Have the other characters care about my character bring up my past and my decisions initiate conversations etc.

4. I want to have a full on argument with all characters at different points but we still stick together because thats what friends do you don't have to agree with someone all the time to be their friend. everytime Alistair yelled at me his approval meter dropped by a lot of points, cant we get mad at each other and still be friends? Does my track record mean nothing?

5. If Alistair left I want to win him back dry him out and help him become the man he once was before my pc destroyed his soul.

7. It would be really neat if it was Loghain who helped restore Alistair to his former glory.

8. Apostate mage origin I really hate what the chantry does to mages and I want to utterly annihilate the chantry

9. A story arc to utterly annihilate the chantry.

10. I want the ability to sway party members through dialogue and quests to agree with me that the chantry needs to be annihilated. Especially a restored Alistair.

Resurrection is not possible at this time in Thedas.  What if your character has given the Ultimate Sacrifice?

1. To me, it would really have to be an extension of this game: same PC (!) with the same relationships and it should take place shortly after the Blight. I've just finished the game and the story just doesn't feel complete this way. It's too bad nothing is playable after killing the Archdemon and it doesn't feel right, so (for me) the best solution would be to have the DA2 storyline pick up where DAO left off.
Of course it's possible your main character died, but it's fantasy: nothing is impossible. I think it would be a great quest as well: escaping from the Underworld or whatever it's called in DA ^^

2. Morrigan. Didn't really like the ending with Morrigan if you were "in love" with her, I guess I'm just a sucker for happy endings. Or at least an ending...

3. Possibility to keep playing after finishing the main story, without having to go back to where it wasn't finished yet. (To me that is a major flaw in many games I've played!) Besides that, I really liked the idea of trying to create my own campaign, but I didn't really see the point if it's not playable after the Blight is ended.

4. A new threat to Ferelden, it's too easy to just have these Darkspawn come back ^^ New places to visit of course. And more! More places to visit, more quests, more enemies, etc.

5. It would be nice if you were to start with finding and recruiting as much of your DAO party members.

6. More stuff for mages and better looking outfits. Some of those cowls and robes were really ugly :pinched:

7. More weapon and armor variation. All greatswords and longswords look alike now... Also, it would be nice to be able to customize the look of your weapons and armor.

8. More variaties of encounters while traveling or perhaps actually traveling. Different camp sites would be more realistic as well.

9. Party members speak to you more often, in stead of you always having to go up to them. And more party-members related quests perhaps.

10. Real expansions of the game, not just some small side quests. I liked the Stone Prisoner quest, but it was way too short.

Overall I think it was an awesome game! A lot should remain the same, the gameplay for example. I really got addicted to this story so to me it would be a waste to have to start over again with different characters and have just some stories left of a great Grey Warden that once killed the Archdemon.

OK I'll give it a shot:

1. Desire Demon as a Party member and romanceable NPC, would be a neat challenge for the Devs and the writers to make it interesting and to see who's controlling whom. Which should be the point of when you get to her specific NPC quest plotline. (Since they can change shape, she could appear as a normal human or dog or cat Etc. while Adventuring with the party outside of camp)

2. If the sequel takes place 15+ years later, the option to play AS Morrigan's kid as one of the Origin Stories.

3. If it takes place between 0-7 years later, the option to play as my Previous character would be cool, but only if the story warrants it.

4. If the Story takes place in Orlais, the option to become a Chevalier, and all the benefits of being one (class Specialization and your "above the law" status), should apply, and characters should react accordingly.

5. On character Creation allow me the option of being able to pick weapon proficiencies so I don't have to waste slots on sword and shield, if I want to go Two-Handed or Dual wield right from the get-go.

6.Would like to see Customizable arms and Armor, also the ability to take bonuses from 1 item and give to another, If I like the look of the other armor set better.

7. True Expansions, cause I hate DLC. It's like getting what you should of got in the main game, while the 2 DLC packages so far were quite good (Stone Prisoner and Soldier's Peak), I like full Expansions better because I feel like I'm not getting full value most of the time.

8.Side missions kind of like in KoTOR 2 where I have to send a 2nd group of my Followers out to complete an important mission, while I'm off doing something else. This game would have been a perfect example in that I could have had Alistaire lead one Group to secure the treaty with the Elves, while I took another group to do the Circle of Magi. (After Lothering you had Alistaire, Lelianna, Sten, Dog, and Morrigan) Since you got Wynne at the Tower, you'd have a party of 4, And if there had been another Elf NPC to join your Group at the Elf camp, you'd have had 2 parties of 4. I just didn't feel the sense of Urgency in the game.

9.On the Consoles the option to use the PC UI if you have a Controller / Keyboard setup (Which I do on my PS3).

10. More Lesser of 2 Evils options. Sometimes we don't have a chance to do the right thing when time is running out and someone's life is on the line. You have to make the Decision now and deal with the Consequences later. Can't say the Redcliff option was bad per se, Since the Circle option is only available if you do the Circle of Magi Tower before Redcliff.

Does anyone know if the game really is coming out in two years? I read an article that showed that Patrick Weekes said writers were working on Dragon Age 2, and that was in September, way before it game out. Somewhere else i read that they were only doing 2 years of DLC because at the end of the term the second game is going to be released - like the 2 year wait for Mass Effect 2. Only unlike ME, DA:O will have more extensive DLC.

I just want to know if anyone heard the same. I'll try to find the articles so i can post them.

I know this isn't exactly 100% relations to the thread, but thought i'd post it here since the topic is DA:2

A glitch free game would be nice! Nothing like getting to the end of the game only to have it glitch out and you have to fight the archdemon by yourself because the computer thinks you didn't choose anyone lol!
