1: Alistair indeed. Please use Steve Valentine in future games!

2: Better epilogue... jebas, please, nobody cared that Alistair died, nor did they care my PC lost her love.

3: I would like more party interjections, and more volatile parties, to be honest. I didn't like the gift system at all, besides the plot specific ones. I'd like it to be hard to keep so many different personalities together, have some people refuse to be in the same party with someone, even if they stay in the camp.

4: More to do with the romance... simple things, ala the flirt packs that have been made for Baldur's Gate and NwN2. Holding hands, just leaning on them, cooking them a meal, something like that.

5: I would like harsher decisions, personally... and no way OUT of difficult decisions, like the Circle option with Redcliffe.

6: I was disappointed that there was no mention of your romance to your family, as well. I would have expected some outrage from Shianni if you were with a human, disgust from dwarves, etc, though Rica, I think, would be happy for you.

7: Some actual cowls rather than those hideous jester-hats, please.

8: I would really like to see my character through to her Calling.

9: A chance to see Morrigan.... and kill her.

10: I would really like to see the Grand Cathedral! :3

All of this!

1. More equipment, more types of weapons, more different armor and weapons so there would be a real choice, stamina potions: better looking equipment - not as mages' capes.

2. Specializations should be more different and usefull (not as shapeshifter).

3. More spells, different spells as in DnD.

4. Some protection against overhelm and abilitis like this.

5. More possibilities for usinf tactics. Better AI, so that, for example, enemy mages use spell combinations.

6. Better story line.

7. More random encounters, bigger cities, more locations.

8. Increasing power of warriors comparing to mages.

9. A chest in camp (not somewhere else) or unlimited inventory, possibility to craft items myself.

10. Better skills.

1. I'd imagine starting off in the lands where Orlais is located. Here, you're reunited with Morrigan, her child, and various other npcs you met before.

2. You can start off as a new character OR you can load your old one from a previous Origins save

3. Possibility your character, if they sacrified themselves, is resurrected?

4. If you load an old character, old romances go with them.

5. Mage clothes and prettier mage hats.. Or better, an option where you have a hat on but it doesn't show in the game if you don't want it to.

6. A focus on bringing the elves to their home-place and helping them start a city, and if you were an elf, you could even go back in the end to settle down and lead them

7. Undies that vary in type, texture, and color.

8. A boob size slider bar

9. Characters that are just as developed and rounded out as Origins' was.

10. I'd like a "stronghold" too, like in BG2.

ok read page 1 will read the others after this, and I may have more than 10 I don't know yet.

1) On character creation, I love the detail you can put into the characters head, how about letting me do that with the entire body?

- Height/Weight for one.

- Instead of tattoos on the head and face let me put some on the arms, shoulder or legs. Let me have a color option for those tattoos like pick a color point to the region click allowing multi color tattoos if I want to.

- Also the tinting options are pretty lame, think that could be fixed up a tad.

2) Allow me to at anytime change the character's hair, or add tattoo's, under the character sheet. Just put a modify button in there or something.

3) Weapons and armor. The daggers in this game are like shortswords, can we scale the weapons a tad more and perhaps add shortswords?

- Add more choices and designs for both the weapons and armor.

- Not every Rogue is going to run around in some sort of leather armor.

- Perhaps add Bracers of Defense along with some suitable clothing options

- Allow me to change the color of my items via dyes or something, I would simply choose the color and drag it over my armor/clothing or weapon to change the color.

- Better enchantments or at least allow me to do them myself to add more, just set a limit to like 2 or 3 at a time.

- Sheathing options with actual sheaths

4) Carry over your main character and at the least whoever my romance option in the game was and tie it into the new story somehow.

5) Allow more people in the party at a given time, why is it I run into groups of 8-12 people but I only have 4 including myself? Somehow I think I'm smarter than that.

6) Allow Cross training, or dual classing a character.

7) More skill and ability options and thus more points to put into them. Perhaps 1 point for every two added or something like that.

8) Definately a base camp of sorts, something that you can do something with.

- Things like make an herb garden to grow your own herbs for potions and poisons.

- A vault for you to store things in

- A dining hall for dinner conversations with your party

You get the idea.

9) More specializations such as Swashbuckler for fighters and Rogues, don't know what the options are for Mages, but I'm sure you need more.

10) Please for heavans sake if the merchants are making money off of you the least they could do is restock their supplies, expand their business to add other items, etc etc.

Ok I'll limit it to this for now, lol.

What I think would be interesting is if we found out that if you did the ritual in the game that not only the spirit of the archdemon went inside morrigan's baby, but flemeth's spirit too. Creating some super god-like witch or something.

K think I'm going to add a few more........

1) Consequences. Find it funny that in the Pearl you can walk right past the bouncer and unlock the chest and take out whatever is in there and he doesn't move.

2) Tavern interaction, such as non lethal bar fight cut scenes and such, wake up in Jail and getting bailed out. lol

3) I would like to see the game run differently based on what your class is. You can still get to the end with multiple paths.

4) The ability to break a lock you can't open. Just require a hammer to be used or something, I don't know. Just think it's lame that if I can't open a lock I just walk away.

5) I love Morrigans outfit, I'd also love to be able to purchase clothes like that for my female characters.

6) Have Items I'm wearing like rings or amulets show up, allow earings to be worn and shown if the hair style allows it. Up to three in ea. ear would work. Maybe even a pierced nose?

7) Definately more party initiated dialogue. Especially when camping.

8) More options for a pet companion, with those options include color, build etc.

A codex organized by topics instead of numbers.

The dialoge text at the top that tells you who you're talking to. Sometimes I had no clue who it was until after the conversation.

A little move atmosphere in the towns. BG2 did a good job with sound effects in the Dock and Slum Districts.

Here are my thoughts

  • Increased epicness of special moments – discovering lost secrets of the Dalish should be a big thing. Bioware did a great job with character epic moments, but less so with quest related (apart from the Urn of Sacred Ashes, which was great in that regard).
  • More random fun moments – perhaps (in DAO), when camping near lake Callenhad, the PC, Zevran, Morrigan, Alistair and Leliana (the latter two only if hardened) could have a humorous conversation ending up in a spot of skinny dipping.
  • If we are starting afresh, have a decent NPC that starts the came with you (in the origin) and continues throughout. Alistair was almost that, but not quite. I’m talking more like an Imoen, who is there from the very beginning, gets touched by the same events you do, but reacts in their own (but understandable) way.
  • More customisation of equipment – perhaps your camp followers have the ability to weave, dye, metal craft, etc to give you the heroic image you truly desire.
  • Group dynamics – the characters should not only react to you, but also to each other in a larger way (the banter is great, but only really the start). Perhaps we could even have a blossoming romance between the NPCs
  • More background on the Grey Wardens as a group (though this is probably a given) – perhaps even making a more obvious step in rebuilding or changing the organisation is some way.
  • Larger party – 5-6 is about right.
  • If we’re having darkspawn, let’s have a decent intelligence behind them (Morrigan’s child could be ideal for this) - I feel that even it a Grey Warden didnt sleep with her, she's not one to let a good idea drop.
  • Fully voiced PC – I would sacrifice choice for this – as long as the options you do have are superb!
  • Consequences to what has happened in this game. Morrigan could now be but a mindless pawn of her child, Wynne could be trapped in the fade with her spirit companion, Sten could find himself now a rebel against his own people, Alistair’s princely heir could be tainted, etc etc
  • Opps, one too many. Ownable strongholds – with the variety seen in BG2.
  • Opps, two too many - as they're currently working on plans for the new game now, lets have a community competition to create a fully fleshed character. The winner(s), as selected by Bioware, could see their creation as a fully realised NPC in game, with runners up as minor characters. This doesnt necessarily have to be limited to characters, either, but could also be places, items, quests etc, etc

Uu...I forgot one - CHANCE. Add an element of chance to some quests where it makes sense.

Random number generators exist for a long time. if I gamble on something then I'd like to really be a gamble, at least sometimes.

For example - the Redcliffe quest. Upon returning from the circle a random chance that everything will still be all right or that Connor did something.

I'd keep the group size at 4 but give templars and maybe champions some kind of light healing ability. That would free up the type of group you make. You could go with the super healer mage, or some combination of characters with minor healing abilities.

1) Better looking armor-sets and weapons (I can think of Starfang, and Duty/effort and Jugg armors) - something more sinister-looking for leather users and unusual for mages (like magical stones flying around their heads or arcane tatoos instead of normal helmets)

2) More finishing moves / fatalities - also for ranged and mages (shattering is good candidate for blood fountains)

3) More dialogue options also including charisma / previous deeds influence

4) More killable questgivers (e.g.: if you were a mage in mage tower quests nice option is to kill all templars and set mages free after proceeding to Denerim etc).

5) World - alternating events loaded from the chosen endgame save (Morrigan's child, Loghain recruiting, Werevolves alive, Bhalen as a dwarf version of Hitler with his army)

6) Elite specialisations - available for the high level characters (from 20 for DA:O setup)

7) Longer and more complicated bossfights (more like Broodmom and Archdemon)

8) More epic battles (loved Denerim one-shooting darkspawns)

9) Possibility of gaining influence in target cities / groups (let's say becoming dwarven king DURING campaign, or taking over Crows / Blackstone Irregulars)

10) More important specialisations and spells (not only a persuasion and pickpocketing / herbalism) and even moAAAAAr Sandal (maybe a Sandal's children: Sandalia and Sandal JR - ENCHANTMENT!!!!)

I think it's funny how some people love Morrigan and others hate her. Either way, if you ask me, her story isn't finished. To satisfy everyone, I guess that if she comes back, it would be best to have both options: kill her or have her join you again :P
It would be great if the story (including it's relationships) would take up where DAO left off. I just don't think it's going to be that way -sadly- because there's a 1/3 chance your PC died. If they intended to make a direct sequel, they would have just forced that ritual on you, I think..

Sorry about the quoting by the way, something went wrong when trying to quote a list..

Love or hate Morrigan (and for me, it's really neither - she's alright for a night), her having a god-child has such potential as a plot device - especially as it's the human-god of our protagonists mindless archfoes. You cant really get more epic in this setting, can you? I also think Morrigan might find another way to get her way - there are other archdemons out there that  she can "suck into  her."

Morrigan is the essence of bittersweet - and I would love to see that continue in some shape or form. Having a god-child has got affect you in one way or another. if not in DAO2, I have no doubt they'll be fanfic!

1. Improved romance stuff or at least more choices. I love Alistair to death but that certainly wouldn't stop me from doing more than just flirting with Teagan or the like, given the chance.

2. More Loghain. Don't care how, where, when, or why.

3. Polearms. I'd kill for a nice spear or halberd.

4. More armor choices. Weapons too.

5. Some sort of a reputation scale like in Baldur's Gate, but I NPC approval rates would suffice or at least tie into it.

6. Day to night transition. I think it was just dusk in Redcliffe for several hours when I was there.

7. The ability to hide helmets even when wearing them.

8. More recruitable characters.

9. Bigger areas.

10. More blood and gore.

I know I'm repeating some of what others have said earlier, but...

1. Change into something comfortable when at camp -- it killed me to see Alistair trying to sleep in his armor in that first cut scene. Also have your own tent to be able to invite people back to for private discussions.

2. While the VO's are excellent, still to allow longer dialogue trees with more options and expostion and back-and-forth .... switch to text-only with theme music, as was done in BG2. It didn't hurt my immersion that way.

3. the "combat log" window that shows who is inflicting how much and what kind of damage -- easier to learn what tactics are working

4. More non-PC party activities/expeditions ... as someone said, you have to think about who you're leaving back at camp sometimes... one of my favorite moments was when Morrigan and Dog tried to rescue me from Fort Drakon, Morrigan was so funny!

5. More sophisticated gore/wound system visually -- have characters look gradually more beat-up between camp visits or as they do get wounded... hair mussed, dark shadows under eyes.

6. Dog making more trouble at camp and everywhere and you trying to train him... maybe there's a dog trainer you can hire somewhere.

7. Ability to hire elves as servants around the camp to keep the place spruced up.

8. More true terrain where you can climb up to the top of hills or the watchtowers and there's something up there worth seeing -- maybe some enemies in the distance.

9. Less killing of innocent civilians. yes I know that's what darkspawn but I would like a chance to save more of them by making the effort. that's what gray wardens do. I didn't like how everyone would already be dead when I got there sometimes.

10. More use of avoiding shame and humiliation as motivating force for PC -- I worried over not telling Morrigan exactly what went down at Flemeth's ... would have liked to clear it up with her one way or another ... stuff like telling a character a lie or promising something because it was easier at that moment but then either having to live up to it at great difficulty or losing approval from all for not.

(1) Make Dog summonable by the PC (like a ranger's pets, only nameable and customizable)
(2) Better mage armors. Please.
(3) Add a "hide helmet" option
(4) Diversify the classes more: allow bards to heal a bit, mages to disable traps and stealth, warriors to break locks/doors
(5) Keep party size at 4 (but see point 1 above)
(6) Add an auto-"Loot All" option
(7) Better hair, face, body options
(8) Better (and more) romance options
(9) Bring Morrigan and Alistair back, if possible (they are such great characters!)
(10) Better / more accessible armor sets -- the pieces of the sets in DA:O are all over the place :-(

1. Avoid the cut-scene set-ups where (despite having done the entire level/dungeon with great cunning and sneakiness) your entire bunched party bursts through the final door like excited children entering a sweetshop. The player, and not the game, should decide how to deploy for boss battles.

2. Related to the above: when there's a conversation that might turn into a fight, the whole party should not be teleported in to the area. It only takes one person to parley. Ideally it should be possible to attack without talking at all.

3. Documentation for the tactics system.

4. More of a sense of urgency, both within quests and for the story as a whole. There was a sense of urgency at Redcliffe; the sense that something would happen at nightfall was very real. The same with lighting the beacon at Ostagar. I thought it was a shame that something similar couldn't happen at Lothering -- maybe a rearguard action to allow max no. of refugees to escape. At the story level, I think that BG/2 achieved more of a sense of urgency; it would be good to experience that in the DA universe too.

5. In-town rooms/apartments (maybe rented at some cost) where you can hang out and stash items (party chest storage properly integrated into the game).

6. More inns and pubs with their own distinct "feels" like there were in BG/2.

7. Realistic pricing that takes some account of supply and demand. If I corner Ferelden's entire supply of metal shards, the price should reflect that (and smiths should be making more, anyway). Similarly if I've recently sold 1000 potent lyrium potions to a merchant, his price should drop (defeating the exploit concerned).

8. Consistent merchant interfaces. The pattern of "greeting dialogue" questions and responses should be the same each time so you can click/escape through it without thinking, once you've heard the dialogue enough times.
9. Either the anti-gravity helmet-hair, or the bedroom scenes, should go :P

10. Placeable ballistas -- we've got the engines, let's have the sieges!

Well I can't wait to see how Mass Effect 2 evolved over it's predecessor, and that will probably give me more ideas on what I would want to see with DA2...

For a current list of ideas here are mine.

1) First and foremost I would like to see 2h weapons and dual wielding have better balance. Dual wielding is just better for far less investment. For the swing speed delay I think 2h weapons should hit noticeably harder right out of the gate. So what if you 1 shot genlocks early on with a critical? This is probably my biggest peeve with the current game.

2) If the game takes place during the Dragon Age then we need a new bad guy, and an Archdemon should not be it! ...I vote for some powered up Hurlock ala Dragon Age: Journeys, or some political figure (or both!)

3) I would love to see 1 unique, and persistent companion per origin. I really liked characters like Gorim, and would have loved for him to rejoin me later. I sort of envision this much the same way as the human noble leaving his estate with the mabari already as a member.

4) Dalish mage origin.... seriously. This should have been in the original game.

5) Human commoner origin... see #4

6) New origins. Take hints from 4&5. No need to really rehash dwarf noble when maybe we can have... Surface Dwarf? Another new origin could be Qunari Wanderer or something. Instead of a Circle magi, maybe go with Apostate. Etc....

7) New companions. I could see rehashing the mabari (depending on location), and *maybe* Shale. For the most part though I would like to adventure with a completely new cast of characters, and hopefully have the choices expanded a bit.

8) More designs for mage robes/cowls. I'm happy with the other armors, but the robes need something...

9) Expanded crafting to armor/weapon smithing. I do not want to buy my good gear from merchants. Let me make it!

10) Enchantment slots in armor. It's brought up during the "Enchantment" quest that armor can be fitted with runes. Yet, in the actual game this never happens. Fix plz kthnxbai!

Hopefully DA:O will be successful enough that a sequel will warrant as much care, and detail as BG 2 did.

1. Inventory search function - hated inventory in this game

2. More than 1 mage origin (PLEEEZE!)

3. Romance subplots again please - these were fantastic. more please!

4. It would be nice if the romances could end a little happier - but i'll take 'em anyway.

5. Better armor. I'm gonna be in the chasind robes all freakin' game because they're the only thing that looks good. love the boots - wish i could loose the fur ruff.

6. SAME EXCELLENT DIALOG! loved the writing in this game. seriously, the best

7. more grey wardens. would love to have my party include about 1/2 grey wardens. - it would ROCK if you could recruit (course, that might mean that only certain party members could survive to be wardens

8. griffons!

9. hybridize magic - i'd love to see a class that was something like a druid or bard from d&d. i like swords AND spells and no, i don't like the arcane warrior thing.

10. SANDAL!

1. More graphics options. Why is there no in-game ability to toggle helm displays off? I'd prefer there be no shafts of light clogged by motes, or personal/group auras, or roiling atmosphere from bonfires and the Lady of the Forest. I could also think about upgrading...

2. Different main character. Noble reason: I thought the endings were powerful enough to stand on their own. Selfish reason: Male Warden + King Alistair will not (easily)transfer into any "canon" updates.

3. Please use fewer patriarchal references to people, and fewer patriarchal mouthpieces in general. Why are the canon female heroes always dead or invisible? So far they're all deceased martyrs in the codex. Easily overlooked. None of the living women npcs in DA were proactive save for Branka, who carried on the stereotype of a madwoman who was irresponsible with her power; and Anora, who despite being the queen was relegated to the stereotype of a princess who needed to be rescued first. The Lady of the Forest was impressive, but not human. Ser Cauthrien was never her own woman and her possible redemption was tacked-on. Eleanor Cousland was a noble fighter, yet she too was quickly martyred. There should've been female templars. Was there some law in the Chantry which forbade women from being zealous warriors? Female PCs can be templars so there should be some npc women who do the same. Their armor graphics already exist. There should be more female fighters in the battle and army cutscenes. They were well-represented among mages(dresses) and elves(archers) but they were easy to miss among the melee human, dwarven, and Grey Warden forces unless we squinted. Not one of them was shown wading into the bloody melee.

4. Better balance of M/M and F/F depictions alongside the M/F couplings. Make same-sex instances/mentions unavoidable just like the str8 pairings. It is too easy to ignore any adult same-sex intimacy in DA. Branka/Hespith was the exception, and theirs' was not a beneficial example at all. Zevran did not get to hit on the male npcs and that was a homophobic move in spite of his character. (Correct me if he does. I've yet to witness that occasion.) There were too many unavoidable opposite-sex couples/flirtations in DA compared to the scant bit of attention that same-sex interactions were given. Fix this by making the leading male and leading female both be canonically bisexual, and that's just for starters.

5. Different locale. Except for the Mages' tower, Fereldan proved itself too ugly. I can't understand why it came out so. Jade Empire was a prettier fantasy RPG in BioWare's past and I'm sure they took liberties with the architecture they based their settings on back then. But almost every place in this game looked horrible.

6. Expand the combat tactics or write decent AI behaviors for a change.

7. Rape victims are not exclusively female and should not be portrayed as such. I assume there will be further rapes or at least their mention in future installments. The perpetrators do not always need to be male. And the participants are not always opposite-sex.

8. More Flemeth! More Kate Mulgrew!

9. A bolder music composition. The main theme, Lake Calenhad, main camp, the post-coronation, and the credits were the only good pieces that were worth mentioning. KOTOR, JE, and ME's soundtracks were much stronger throughout.

10. If they must cut corners by skimping on camera-perspectives during conversations with npcs then they should at least turn the camera on the tailored-party instead of the ugly, long-winded, cockney, random character we're facing.
