When you replayed everything again, did you find yourself enjoying the 99% of the remaining game or you could not forget how bad/confusing the 1% ending was?

It helps if you are still in full denial of the ending (or cling to the Indoctrination Theory) and hide the ending in a dark and dank place of your mind.

I wonder if that'll still be possible when the Extended Cut comes around.

Insanity with my main Shep in NG+ was fun. I turned off the subtitles and muted the game when I reached starchild so I don't have to listen to his crap. After losing control of Shep, I just alt+tabbed and let the game run on the background.

Sure I liked it. I'm planning on playing through ME2 and ME3 at least once more and I'm sure I will enjoy both games. I'll probably wait for the Extended cut though. While waiting I can play through some new games I have waiting.

I just play multiplayer now. I've only just realised how much of a shooter this game really is. I guess I was really drawn to the immersive narrative feature of the game rather than its gameplay, and now that the narration is broken I finally see what the game really is - a shooting gallery for which to vent my frustrations, something I used to use Halo for.

Did two play through, both times i felt i was cheated in terms of the magic that the mass effect 1 seeded inside me, blossomed in me2 and in me3 my little magic seedling was trodden on by a massive iron boot. Tried to forget me3 ever happened, started a new run in me2 and failed miserably, i have lost the connectivity to the game. Feeling really angry about the lack of traditional game play.

All the points go to combat and that shows in the comments made by all the gamers who love me 3. They all can't wait for the talking scenes to skip or pass, all admitted they can't wait for the combat to start. I just wonder how many of these gamers have played all previous installments and how many just joined the me 3 gravy train because of multi player?

I did try multi player and now i am terribly bored of it. I can't replay all three games. It really lost the magic for me. I am honestly pleased for the people who are thrilled by me3. Go and enjoy while you can, who knows how long it will for you.

meanwhile i try to grow a head on my shoulders, because i can't believe how a simple video game has brought so much anger out in me as a grown up person (have passed the mass disappointment stage, not sure what will be next in store)....

No, I enjoyed it even more, considering it gives you better comprehension of the ending, due to understanding allusions and implications, and even find stuff I missed like hilarious squad conversations and MORE LIARA! Mass Effect 3 rocks! I try not to think too hard about the ending, because the entire game is an irrefutable masterpiece crafted in Bioware heavens. <3

Yes but we all know what the destination is now. And in knowing that, we can never really enjoy the journey as much as we once did.

To be fair, this would be true even with a perfect ending.  The first time through will always be the most memorable.  Once you know how a game ends, a movie, a book, etc, the experience is no longer the same as when everything was unknown.

I played through 3 times.  On the third time it other items actually made more flaws come out that really started to make the game boring to tell the truth.  IN fact about 1/2 way through I started skipping quests and just focusing on getting through this final playthrough.  Ironically, I still had enough EMS to get the control and destroy options.

London starts getting to be more of a chore than fun after so many playthroughs.  Only so many variables that you can do.  On another note, I saw the world get destroyed and only a few of Hammer got through on the third playthrough since my EMS was so low.  Different than what happened on my other playthroughs.

Trying out plot variations based on previous choices has been really fun. In some cases it's a bit lame (rachni queen being the obvious example), in others it's really awesome (Wrex/Wreav, various outcomes concerning Mordin). For the most part I can enjoy all of that just fine, there's just the occasional sting when something happens that directly reminds me of the ending.

I romanced Liara in ME1 and Tali in ME2. So going in I decided to hook back up with Liara.

Well the ending hit me and my second planned playthrough where I stay with Tali was on hold. One day I decided, screw it, I wanna play Mass Effect some more. I went through it, skipping through most of the dialogue options, having my xbox controller nudged towards paragon the whole time.

It was right before the cerberus base that I realized that through skipping through all the dialogues that I accidentally romanced Kaidan. And that's when I stopped.

I'm on third playtrough on Insanity, and I still have another profile to go, and even though the ending was, let's be honest, crap I will continue to replay it just to be with the crew of the Normandy and Liara, the journey is still a large part of the game, enjoy it.

I replayed it last night, well I should say the final mission, it was still my second run though, and I still do not get it, just made me sad and drink more beer and scratch my head. Things that did stick out on the second run, why does it look like the "Collector Base" why am I in the "Shadow Brokers Ship"? After that no more questions just disbelief again....well I did get a nice "bug" during defending the "missles" and when all the Brutes came, one got stuck in the air on a shelf and literally looked like he was doing the Superman, it was quite funny.

I got to just before Thessia on my second run before I lost my will to play it anymore. The ton of heartbreak that was going to follow wasn't worth it. I quit while I was ahead.

I'm on my third (complete) playthrough, just said "goodbyeee" to everyone in London. Not sure if I want to finish the game now or wait for the EC DLC....
But in answer to your question, I find the majority of the game good enough to prevent me going mental about the ending. Panic sets in about Thessia or the assault on the TIM's base.

It's much harder the second time around, whenever I make a significant choice, I know it will mean nothing. The dialogue and voice acting is still amazing though, nevermind the gameplay.

Meh, headcanon. I can enjoy it enough. My Shepard kills the reapers, survives, and then reunites with Ash, no matter what it takes.

I'm one of those withhold the wallet guys though...

I think despite the dodgy ending I think the gsame as a whole is pertty solid and I did enjoy it second time round just as I did the first time as a game it's erxcellent granted the ending was dodgy but IU never expected the story to have a positive ending antway and I'm looking forward to starting another playthrough of the trilogy again soon

took forever but I did finally play through a second time. Killed Kai Leng (because that bastich needed killin) and exited the game... not nearly masochistic enough to go through that end again.

I don't have particularly strong feelings about the ending. So, no. It hasn't affected my enjoyment of subsequent play throughs.

Sure. I play it as a shooter skipping all the dialogs.

I sadly....agree with this...

I've never played ME1 or ME2 w/o skipping the dialogues but the ending kinda made me just want to play the game as a shooter and skip everything but the very important dialogues. Most people will say it's dumb that the ending would ruin a great game...but for me it kinda does.

Still enjoying ME2 though =D, every single line of it.

Couldn't forget it. It's difficult to get into the story again. ME1 and ME2 were easier since I hadn't played them for a while, though making tough choices didn't really seem that way... more of a "whatever"

I enjoyed it, and when I reached the starchild, I had fun with my infinite bullet generator.

Also, I'm replaying ME1 right now.

I replayed the entire game... then stopped just before I got to the end.
