Seems the best way to please everyone would be a toggle for hunter mode graphic on or off.
Yes please, I think its really cool as is, but if its hurting peoples eye's they should have the option to turn off the effect.
Everyone wins really

Just because something doesn't affect you doesn't mean it isn't a legitimate concern. The selfishness here is just... mind-blowing.

And by the look of other threads, it has caused a fair amount of migraines for a lot of people.
Stop being selfish

The hunter mode looks so freakiin cool so please don't change it. For those who complain about it hurting your eyes just man it up and play through it or turn the brightness lower. When I have hunter mode on it doesn't effect my eyes at all because i dont have super bright settings which you guys most likely do. Don't ruin the fun for others not effected by this.
Start thinking before posting = win for everyone ...pretty please....i`m sorry but this is realy gettin annyoin on this forum..seems to be the new BSN-motto: "don`t think, type, and all who do not share my opinion got something wrong."
How about a simple visual-combat-ui-effects on/off option in the freaking options-menu.

Folks, just because a problem doesn't affect you does not mean it's not a problem.
EDIT: For the record, I do find Hunter Mode somewhat annoying and occasionally headache-inducing, but it sounds like I don't suffer from it as badly as many others here. I'm more concerned about those who are really having a hard time with it but would love to play the game as intended.

It helps if people adjust their settings first. But it seems, from reading these threads, that some people are looking at it and immediately running to the forum to demand Bioware change it NOW. QUICK! Get a petition together! Then the assorted grumblings about how stupid Bioware is and yadda yadda yadda. I dunno, I prefer to see if altering my own settings makes it better before demanding a company dish out who knows how much money to fix something that may be fixable on our end. Money that could go to better projects, like fixing the endings or working on new games.
If there's nothing that can be done on the client side, then by all means Bioware should make changes. But can weat least TRY to fix it on our ends first? Just sayin is all.
Well if there was something I could do on my end to get rid of the double image effect (where it kind of looks like you're looking at an image where you're meant to be wearing 3D glasses). Then by all means I would, but unfortunately there isn't. It's this effect in my opinion which is the biggest problem with it, as it would be (well at least in part) what is causing strain on people's eyes, as their eyes struggle to focus on the image.
Now as far as Bioware fixing the issue, I'd be happy with them just adding some settings to toggle on or off certain effects. That way those who are lucky not to be affected by the Hunter Mode Effect, can continue to enjoy it, and those who are affected will be able to use Hunter Mode without physical discomfort.
Those responsible at Bioware for creating visual effects, should have really been taking ergonmics in to consideration when designing them.

I'm really concerned by the number of people chiming in to only say "it doesn't bother me." This is like people with wheelchairs asking for more ramps in public so they can get around, and all the people who can walk just fine saying, "Whatever, I just use the stairs."
Folks, just because a problem doesn't affect you does not mean it's not a problem.
Well said

Even if it doesn't hurt your eyes, all the symbols are just an unnecessary nuisance.
This. Hunter mode should make sniping easier. Not make you want to throw up in your lap

Why is it so hard for people to understand that -- like a million other different things about the human body -- not everyone's eyes are the same?

It is just as selfish for others to ask for it to be removed. People are too bothered with their own concerns, how about adding a toggle switch for the graphic?
Then, by some miracle, everybody may just be happy...although I expect somebody won't be.

Seriously, someone at the UI department needs a lesson in um .... user interface. The hunter mode is supposed to give the player enhanced vision and better understanding of the battlefield. Mostly it gives some enhancements, puts white crap on 80% of the screen and makes it harder to see the objective arrows. Even if it doesn't hurt your eyes, it is idiotic in design ... "looking cool" isn't really the feature I need here.
Then there's "marksman mode" which, um ... blurs everything? Yeah, brilliant.

I think the visual changes allows for 1 part balancing and 1 part intensity. But again, you don't have to use it. By avoiding it, you can either max out other skills and/or gain more health/shields. You don't HAVE to have it on constantly either. The extremely low cool down time allows for it to be turned off/on whenever needed.
I get that people are having legitimate negative physical reactions, and often accommodations are the best solution. But instead of changing, couldn't we just have a toggle option for it to leave it as is or make it less intense?
Regardless, for now anyway, If hunter mode pwns your eyes/brain, then just don't use it. Not a big deal.

The only thing I wan't them to change is remove the blur but keep every thing else and it can be annoying even on a good HD monitor lol I run at 1050p and it can be little whoa at times but ya just remove the blurriness.
The blur and those dumb bright white icons in the corner that look like they were cut and paste from a Bollywood ripoff of Predator.

... though I guess it would be okay if they release some free DLC to clarify and provide closure on the meaning of Hunter Mode.
..are you serious..?
Really?
My post was kind of subtle at first, and then I thought "You know, some people aren't going to get it and will think I'm being serious." So I rewrote it to make it more obvious. Then I did it again.
And then I thought "Man, this joke isn't nearly as funny as the subtle version, but at least people will understand that I'm not being sincere..."
