Although I'm not surprised, it does appal me that there are people here who are happy to see others suffer for no good reason.

If Bioware had intruduced the class right off the bat with toned-down HM, can you honestly say you would be complaining that "There aren't enough visual effects, I want more blurriness!" Simply saying "no" because you're annoyed at people for wanting to change it is no reason at all.
No. I'm just annoyed by people's pointless complaints.
Have you actually been reading anything I'm writing? I've laid out why people's complaints are perfectly valid. People who have never had problems with playing games before can't even go one round with HM on, and this is not a valid complaint? Changing it will not hurt a single person here, and asking those of us who get headaches to "man it up" or "stop whining" is frankly ridiculous.
I'm guessing TexasToast712 hasn't been. Quite frankly I believe people like this are just trolling, as what most people are asking for is a "toggle" option etc. which won't affect people who like the effect as is. Why is it such a big deal for some people for us to have the option?

Wow talk about "the world revolves around me" attitude, just because something doesn't bother you doesn't mean the complaint is pointless. Ah why do I even bother clearly you're not the kind of person who can be reasoned with.

Also for the record I never had an issue with the other effects like Rage, but at least I understand and sympathize with those who did, and I fully support those people in wanting an option to turn it off etc. I mean why should it bother me if they can turn it off.

I play the Xbox version on my Playstation Display (ooh the irony), and that display is damn good. I play with default brightness on the game and display. My eyes burn when I use hunter mode, and I never have eye strain when playing games. I have to turn the game brightness down to -4 just

Urg, stupid phone. Can't even edit last post.
Just to be able to use hunter mode workout strain. It would be in BioWare's best interest to not cause physical pain to its customers

Supposedly Bio's been keeping tabs on the main "Fix Hunter Mode" thread, but no official word from them on what, if anything, they're going to do about it. Personally I think the toggle option is a great idea. Lets me turn down the settings so I won't get migraines, and lets people who have no issues with it keep the "cool" effect.

I guess it's easy to have no sympathy for someone when you're on the internet. Add to that the anonymous nature of the forums, and it's a recipe for jerks.

I don't really have REAL problems with it, although I haven't used it for a prolonged amount of time.
However, if there is an issue, it's the blur. The monitor is just too close in, and with that blur, your eyes start freaking out, I think.

I read his/her posts. I still see the complaints as pointless. Problem? The majority of people don't have a problem with hunter mode. That doesn't make me a troll.

The fact remains that some people do have problems with it. It causes them physical discomfort and possibly pain. It wouldn't be a big deal for BioWare to add a toggle, really. I've been looking at it, and they would only need to remove the blur/increased brightness if there was a toggle. The rest of hunter mode looks awesome, but that slight blur and increased brightness just makes it uncomfortable.

For those who are having difficulties with eye strain, have you tried turning down the contrast on your monitor (as opposed to the brightness as that can screw with your ability to play.) Also, adjusting the back light if you have one for your screen seemed to help on my end.

We don't have to constantly hound Bioware for solutions to problems that may not actually be their fault. It's not as if they can account for every single monitor and eye type.

The fact remains that this is such a small, insignificant complaint, that nothing will be done about it.

Some of us have monitors/displays/TVs that won't allow you to adjust contrast, myself included

If you want to take that route then this thread clearly indicates that there are a majority on the forum that do think this effect needs attention.

Much like your childish posts make me laugh because it doesn't bother you. Where also would one go to submit an issue of this nature? Some other game site that can do absolutely nothing about this?

1. Online petitions are grounds for bans on most forums.
2. Name one time a online petition has done any good?
3. Reorting to calling my posts "childish" will get you nowhere and just makes you look like even more of a whiner.

I can see how it can cause eye strain, and while the brightness and contrast shift can certainly be done away with, I absolutely LOVE the overlay and other effects.

1. Then don't bring it up.
2. Nice cherry picking even if it proves you wrong.
3. You have no standard to go by to make that call.

Next?

I approve of this thread. Don't change Hunter Mode, I've had no issues with it at all. Honestly, normally people ignore that old adage of not sitting too close to their tv because they think it really doesn't cause a huge amount of strain. But when there is a high end graphic such as the Hunter Mode you really should just move away from your tv/monitor. I sit about 8 feet from my tv and I have no problems sitting in Hunter Mode all day, also I can see all the objective indicators fine.

TL;DR - Stop blaming BioWare for issues with Hunter Mode, use some common sense and back away from your tv/monitor and adjust your settings.

So...PC uses that are limited in their available distance to move away from the monitor are out of luck? Think bigger than your XBOX (HUEG) next time you decide to pass fate for everyone that has physical issues with this.
