Hackett and T.I.M are my two favorite characters. Hackett is my black ops mentor. And T.I.M. is just that awesome and both of them has good voice actors.

Does he really believe it to be a VI gone crazy? I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt there, because it would be really dumb to create an AI and train it to kill humans instead of keeping it in a lab somewhere where you don't need to kill it when after you train it to kill humans, it starts killing humans. That's the sort of behavior I expect of Cerberus, not the Alliance. And that mission is cool anyway because it unlocks a specialization.

I'd say you overestimate the decision making ability of our military leaders.

There is dialogue with EDI where she says she "woke up" with a bunch of people shooting at her.  The intent may have been to "train" a VI for military application, but that seems a bit of a stretch.  It seems even more of a stretch that they would shut down the AI once they had it, especially given the physical restraints it still had (at least, that I can recall.  It has been a while since ME1, but I only remember it having a couple bunkers, a few turrets, and maybe a few mechs under its control.)  If they wanted to keep it, all they'd need to do is blow the defenses, not rely on the bunker's environmental controls, and bam!  Free AI.

The only thing i didnt like is that shep should have made a speech to the fleet instead of hackett stealing his thunder. Since it was shep who brought them all together and plus the nromandy is leading the fleet.

Shepard gives a speech to his squad on Earth.  They probably didn't want to have Shepard giving two speeches.  In the previous games he only gives one, and Bioware probably felt that the squad was a more personal moment, that needed Shepard's touch.  The fleet was going to be operating under Hackett's command, so it makes sense that he would be the one to address the fleet.

Hackett had my back and always seemed to trust me. He even supported me with the how I handled my interviews.

I didn't like how he kinda took over my fleet at the end of ME3, but that was kinda how it had to be when I had to be on the ground with my super important mission stuff.

I like Hackett more than Anderson, who frankly I didn't find very interesting and wasn't all that upset about when he died.

I agree. They tried to play Anderson off as the role model/father figure, but in order for that to work he needs to establish himself as someone worthy of respect that you can learn something from. I never got that vibe from Anderson.

the only thing i don't like with him is we have much more conversation with him than with any of our squadmate. Each main mission each N7 mission and so on.

Hell No. Hackett is cool. Not to mention he is Shepard's SO...so if he orders Shepard to do something, Shepard will do it.

I think it's funny that people complain about Hackett "bossing" them around.

Well... maybe that's the case because he actually IS Shepards boss? Chain of command and such stuff?

I love Hackett, but as a Spectre, Shepard doesn't HAVE to take orders from anyone except the Council, who are most likely now dead.

I just found him so mundane...Go do this shepard,go do that,go here and get some intel...I like anderson because he is involved in the action whereas hackett is just there...as a hologram...for the whole god damn game,It was like he was the "quest giver" But still a good game nonetheless.

I have only had one problem, once, with Admiral Hackett, and that was when I had made the glitch on Noveria with Lorik Qui'in in ME1 :innocent: (edit: I had always liked Hackett up until this point)

So, I was full paragon and full renegade - and then got this new mission to "kill" that guy.

When I didn't kill him, and chose a paragon reply to Hackett, he wasn't very nice (down right nasty reply, imo).
However, I found out that if I made a renegade answer, he wa a lot nicer - so I just simply chose that one then - problem solved = no probs with Hackett, worked for me.  LOL :D
