The reaper was all powerful yet it bowed down to Shepard.  It's almost as if the crucible reminded the starchild of its original humanity.

I'm speculating here, speculate back instead of attack me personally.

The reason I don't like the Starchild, is because even after you've apparently beaten him, there's the much easier way to fix things. The Starchild comes right out and tells you that he controls the Reapers. You've proven with EDI (and the Quarian/Geth conflict possibly), that his reasoning if flawed, that a technological singularity isn't always guaranteed to wipe out organics. Factor in that, in the first instance of synthetic-organic war in this cycle, it was the CREATORS that rebelled against the CREATED, directly contradicting his claims.
With all that against him, is there any reason he can't just control the Reapers to, say, fly into the sun? Or hell, leave for another 50K years, and see if things stay the same. I'm not even going to bother arguing on if he's an Organic mind of an AI, although him vanishing in the destroy ending seems to follow that he's an AI.

What I'd really like about the Starchild, is if he went the way of Saberhagen's "Berserker" series, where this was the original mission, but something happened where it mutated into what the Reapers do now.

If the little git had bowed, my Shepard would be in a beachside condo sipping appletinis with Mr Alenko. 

Also, there's nothing to suggest that Star Jar was ever humane in the least... Given his giant cuttlefish-based solution to a problem that *might* definately happen.

Yea humanity was the wrong word. Substitude morality & ethics instead.  I hear you man, you don't like that the reapers were still in control at the end. But they were so damn powerful. Influencing them somehow via the crucible in addition to Shepards actions made a believable ending.
