I agreed with most of what he said.
Mass effect was my "trust" in bioware, I never played their games before Mass Effect. Now that Mass effect has been sullied for me, I don't believe I trust them with my money. :/

What an articulate dude.

I've enjoyed all of his videos despite their length.

He says "I don't want to be accused of being biased" then follow with 45 minutes of bias, sarcasm & bitterness ozzing from every sentence.

He says "let's forget about interpretations and theories and let's focus on what is SHOWN in the endings", then follows with his own personal conclusion and interpretation that Earth & Tuchanka will definitely not interact with each other for generations and generations, and that galactic civilization ceases to exist. Not only he's talking about something that is NOT shown, he's also taking heavily 'doom & gloom' interpretation, forgetting completely about QEC for example (even though 5 minutes eariler he 'schooled' the viewers about paying attention to the lore lololol). Then he of course takes total 'doom & gloom' approach to everything else. Ships get destroyed, mass starving, everything. The he says that "Shepard is probably gonna die soon" yeah hello, that's your personal interpretation & opinion. And so on. Wrex is the only Krogan with brain (let's forget completely about Eve yeah...). Everything dead, starving, wasted, stuck, forever, doomed, cut out completely blah blah blah.

Extended Cut is already a fail even though he didn't play it.

And seriously, his analogies are so over-the-top is hysterical. And of course the entire "Betreyal!!! They need to apologize!!! They're so rude!" undertone is just cringe-worthy. And he says BioWare is acting childish and how they're not the adults. I mean, lololololol does he know what irony is? xDDD And the tirade on stealing shoes lord...

What use is there for this video except for reassuring the most fanatic Retakers in how right they are?

When he talks how individual characters make us care about billions who would be just numbers otherwise. And that gamers' voice should be considered, especially in an RPG game. The rest is just so biased however, so dramatic and one-sided that it's just ugh

All this guy is doing is repeating the same crap that other ending haters are saying, he is not adding any new insight whatsoever. Frankly anyone jumping the gun without actually seeing the extended cut DLC is ignorant and not worth listening to. We won't know what is going on until we actually download it and see it for ourselves.

Lazy people find that many people aren't listening too.  Life must be easy for them.

Watched the whole thing, good video about the feeling Mass Effect had for viewers. Also what he states about a total stranger vs. a good friends betrayal is spot on. Doubt they will care though until they do not meet projected sales on their next project, possibly seen when they do not hist targets with DLC.

He says he wants to avoid bias about the actual announcement made by Bioware (meaning that he doesn't want to change what they said, he wants to use their words exactly). He states all of the time that the topic is debateable and thats his own opinion. You should listen more carefully.

Because he's too invested in the series, and Bioware broke his heart when they didn't implement his 'Return of the Jedi meets Return of the King' ending idea.

My problem with that part of his video is that while he read Bioware's statement verbatim, he goes on to talk about their 'intentions' as if he is a mind reader and assumes the worst of Bioware in the process. It goes hand in hand with him accusing Bioware of "coming to his house and intentionally hurting him."

God forbid that Bioware wasn't actually trying to hurt anyone with their ending. Why should they apologize for a crime that they didn't feel like they committed? It's not their fault that some people take a disagreement over a story on such a personal level that they can no longer release any statement without it being labeled "childish" in the most ironic manner possible.

There is no way for Bioware or any creator of fiction to protect themselves against this type of criticism. "I disagree with you and you're a terrible person unless you change your opinions to match mine."

The Analogy is simply there to express how and why HE felt betrayed by Bioware's actions. The simple fact is that the uniqueness of Bioware's games comes from the immersion of the player in his own (choices etcetera) story and thats something the company took pride and approved of. You can't seriously say he's wrong to be offended by the fact that they ended his story (yes his, Casey even says that the games were created along with the fans, their feedback and their wants) in a completely disappointing and unfitting way, he is CORRECT to take it personally, thus the anaolgy.

Then I guess we applaud Bioware's mastery in giving players the illusion of control in a story driven game until a cannon outcome was no longer avoidable.

no it is not. It was not hard for me to drop kick ubisoft because of the DRM.

I agree with this. I'm going to have no qualms about never buying a BioWare title ever again. A lot of people say stuff like that and then do it anyway, but they made what WAS my favorite game series ever. I would tell people who weren't into it that Mass Effect is the new Star Wars, and I would joke about how it's like Star Wars before George Lucas ran it into the ground. Now I only have to tell them it's just like Star Wars because BioWare, apparently inspired by the big GL has followed suit and done everything they could to ruin the franchise. It's such a horribly frustrating let down that I'm just not going to play any of BioWare's games anymore. They obviously can't be trusted to not screw up horribly. Between substituting a solid KOTOR3 with a ****ty MMO and ruining the best game franchise around, I just have no reason to support anything they do. And that's what everyone who's unhappy with the ending should do. ****ing and moaning doesn't matter to them if they get your money. If you really want to be taken seriously you need to hurt their wallet by pulling support. I'm pretty sure there's enough of us that if we refused to buy any of the DLC that comes out and never bought another BioWare title until Mass Effect 3's ending is fixed, they'd be pretty quick to admit to their mistake and stop being way too proud to deal with it in a mature manner. By giving them money for... anything really, you are enabling them to not care about what they did. So stop talking about it and actively show them just how unhappy you are. Sales are the only thing with any power.
