Name the characters/places/plotlines you would just up and wipe from the slate given the opportunity. If you could just convert the stuff you didn't like to non existence, what would it be (ending excluded)? Me:

Characters-

Harbinger. (I loved him. But considering the fact that he was put on a bus at the end of ME2 never to be seen again beyond 1 lame cameo, I'd have prefered if there was no faux mastermind behind the events of the 2nd game.)
Diana Allers. (Jessica Chobot does not have nearly as much sex appeal or face in the gaming community as she thinks she does.)
Conrad Verner. (If I wanted fanboys I'd have devoted my life to making pretentious games.)
Jacob Taylor. (You could practically rename him Token without much issue.)
Starchild. (Hey, technically the ending can be preserved as is without keeping this particular ham handed plot device.)

Subplots-

Shepard automatically turning himself into the alliance after ME2 regardless of personal inclinations or SPECTRE status. (Seriously, who the **** are the alliance to tell Shepard anything after the events of the first 2 games? The man is The Determinator.)
Liara's involvement in the story past ME1. (Didn't need her, didn't want her, didn't enjoy listening to her whine and having her feel me up.)
Mordin's automatic crisis of conscience in ME3. (Whether or not he loses his nerve genophage wise should've depended on Paragon/Renegade actions IMO.)
The Rachni. (Honestly considering how half heartedly the issue was handled, I'd have rather it not be brought up at all. An ancient Asari in stasis or an old data bank could've substituted the Rachni Queen pretty easily as the plot macguffin that gave Shepard the info he needed.)
Project Overlord. (Project Standalone! Or just a beta test for the visual effects inside the Geth Collective. Either way: wish I could unpay the money. -.-)

Gameplay Mechanics-

Hacking minigames. (Yawn.)
Galactic readiness. (People who want to play single player want to play single player. People who want to play multiplayer want to play multiplayer. Nobody wants to be "incentivised" to play a mode they're not in the mood for.)
The "exhaustion" meter. (Who the hell thought giving Shepard a heart condition for 2 games was a good idea?)
Resource collection in ME2. (Grinding to pad out gameplay. Plain and simple.)

Other-

Arbitrarily cutting the squadmate pool in half in the name of "greater individual interactions". (If they wanted to emphasize the importance of personal relationships they wouldn't have sidelined 3/4 of the love interests and padded out the numbers with a placeholder and 2 new [and less than beloved] characters introduced in lieu of nothing.)

Diana Allers: Didn't really do much while on the Normandy, and both the voice acting and character model were bad. I'd rather she was scrapped and instead we had more conversations with a couple of the more 'quiet' squadmates.

Star Child: No explanation needed. Most people who have gotten to the end of  Mass Effect 3 will know why.
