Just to be sure that we all use the same lingo here:

TMS - Total Military Strength - the raw total of all Galactic War Assets
GR - Galactic Readiness - Fixed at 50% unless on does multiplayer or the iOS 'games'
EMS - Effective Military Strength - equal to TMS * GR - used to look up the final cut-scene at the end of ME3

Found this - http://www.gamefaqs....fect-3/62357390 - which was posted towards the end of March.  The list seems to be comprehensive from what I can tell.

What this tells us is that the 4,000 EMS result required to get to the 'Shepard Lives' cut-scene does not appear to be possible without raising one's GR (which means multiplayer or iOS games).  It would appear that the best EMS one can achieve with only single-player is 3,757.

I believe that Bioware claimed one could achieve the "best" ending without multiplayer.  So this would seem to indicate that either:

a) Bioware considers 'synthesis' to be the "best" ending since that is the highest result on can get without adjusting GR.

-or-

B) Bioware was being "cute" by refering specifically to multiplayer in their statement and not the iOS games.  Are they going to come back and say "you don't need multiplayer, you could use the iOS games instead to adjust your GR and reach 4,000 EMS".

I didn't play any multiplayer and got 5675 ems. Gotta be a completionist and listen to them ambient conversations, they come in handy!

Also, big factor is if you can get the geth and quarians to coexist.

This is demonstrably false.  Please stop spreading misinformation.

The highest I've heard is 7700 TMS, and that was by completely gaming the system and taking the choices that give you the most war assets.

Second and third poster. Don't tell us "be a completionist".

I've done EVERYTHING, it's been proven to be impossible to get 4,000 EMS with only single player. Over a month after launch and there are no pics of people with 4,000 EMS with only single player.

You can't do it.

Oh look, someone else who doesn't know what he/she is talking about.

Why do people insist on spreading misinformation like this...

This means you had 11350 TMS. Really? You seriously claim that this is possible?

you could probably get the best ending without MP with war assets from future single player DLC

Your EMS was 2837 unless you played the iOS game.

No it's not. It's a bore and it doesn't belong in this video game.

It's a weak, tacked on attempt to draw in the shooter crowd and get you to buy Spectre packs in what was a single player RPG. It doesn't belong, absolutely should not be tied to the campaign, and is generally pretty terrible. If I want multiplayer, I'll go play a good shooter.

This Bioware post says 4000 EMS is possible, but the highest I've seen is around 3800 w/o multiplayer. My personal high is only 3400 ...

I did everything and only got like 7100 EMS with 100% readiness, or something around that. I played the game as a "completionist", but I didn't make decisions based off what would get me the most assets, just what my character would do, so I know I missed out on some because of that. But I did listen to every conversation and do every side quest (I verified it via the quests listed on the wiki page).

So yeah, unless you're modifying your files to get a higher readiness or promoting characters via multiplayer it's impossible to get over the 7500ish EMS.

Not everyone likes the same things.
It's not easy when you're playing by yourself because you're a single player person.

If people like it - that means that they like it. Think of it as free bonus. It probably took development time away from "cough" other stuff, but there is nothing to do with that now.

I got a little over 6100 on my last playthrough. This was with every fetch quest done, and the only faction I didn't acquire was the geth are worth 4000 points, or something's wrong.

I agree. It doesn't feel like they put that much effort into the multiplayer.

Shwiggliness: Saying "get over yourself" implies that there is some pride involved. We don't have invested pride here. I don't understand how that is relevant to multiplayer discussion? :innocent:

I don't like it, but I understand that some people might.

That being said, what about the people who don't have an access online?
