Bioware moderators, WHY YOU NO BAN THIS TROLL?

No but seriously.  He's been doing nothing but insult everyone's intelligence all week.  Can someone please ban him?

My thoughts exactly. He keeps on trolling and getting away with it.

I think people should have the choice for a boss fight. Personally I found it more satisfying convincing Saren to shoot himself than having to kill him in a boss fight. Perhaps the same could be done with Illusive Man. Harbinger possesses him after he is killed and Shepard can use his charm or intimidate to convince the Illusive man to overcome it. Which results in him burning to ash. If not then boss fight.

That's just an example (and of course if you were in a boss fight at that stage it would be terrible since Shepard in injured) I'm sure someone else can think of something a lot better.

I think the troll forgot me3 already has the best final boss trying to protect Shepard from the ending.

So ME3 is mature because it doesn't have a retarded boss fight like ME2? Right.

So I guess Tetris is the most mature game ever because it has no final boss at all.

Are these the same cultured mature adults who are terrified of homosexuality in their games?

Can't tell if serious. I am a mature adult (At least I am told this) and I like boss fights. I also like deep and thought provoking endings. I did not find either of these things at the end of Mass Effect 3. What I found was a rushed product and failed promises. I believe you assume too much OP.

Well said!

Though I would like to add that i'm glad they cut out the fight with TIM. that's one "boss fight" that just wouldn't feel right. Not to me at least.
Harbinger on the other hand...

Starting to become something of a pattern; I read a thread title in the forums and immediately know who posted it before I even bother to look at the name.

No points for being predictable.

Am I the only one who appreciates Luzarius' threads for his hilarious demonstrations of the Dunning-Kruger effect? I also get to play "count the logical fallacies". Fun, fun, fun!

If you're talking about most of the 'retake' group, probably, but then theres us, the ones who just want to understand the ending, like the starchild etc

I would rather have had a meaningful confrontation than an attempt at intellectual drama-babble.

There is nothing deep, thought provoking or mentally stimulating about the ending. Being obtuse and dark just for the sake of it does not make a literary masterpiece.

This is why I hate 95% of gamers.

Luzarius

Np, the 95% either hate you, too or simply don't give a fudge about your existence, anyway.

The endings that we got were a long way from being "deep, thought provoking, mentally stimulating endings". It's getting embarassing to see people decide that they're intelligent because they think that those who hated it didn't understand it while they did. Everyone understands the ending, unfortunately its far from complex or interesting. What makes it worse is that its so inconsistent with the rest of the series. It's as though the writers decided "Oo lets pick just one of our story's science fiction concepts and puke it all over the player's face!".

And can people stop saying that the colour of explosions indicates moral alignment? It's just so irritatingly stupid. You'd think that not even bioware are that overt.

The ending's not intelligent, it is an example of a badly executed science fiction idea being forced through horrible storytelling. If you think you're "mature" and "cultured" for understanding a really shallow concept you should perhaps rethink a few things.

Edit: Hey it may be a troll thread but I need places to vent my annoyance...

Am I right or wrong?

I believe Bioware is choosing NOT to cater to the MTV generation of "kids" who are 13-25.  Instead Bioware is choosing to cater to their more mature audience and striving to push the limits of todays youth.

Bioware i respect you for this.  Most Bioware writers are probably over the age of 28 right?

My challenge to the young generation of ME players is this.  Try to think like a mature adult instead of a silly kid wanting a boss fight at the end of the game.  I say this with the deepest respect possible since the youth have to carry the torch. Consider your limits pushed.

If I come off arrogant then I apologize in advance.

Luzarius
"no death ruleset"

If that was true, we wouldn't have got a weak attempt at a mind boggle twist that ended up just ruining the series for many people.

Boss fight or not, the ending makes no sense.
