Also Fallout....is awesome.
Shadowrun is in development and that is my favourite P&P RPG setting.

CHANGING MY VOTE. Fallout.
That's something I've always wondered. Is Fallout a Sci-Fi? SciFi to me was always Stargate, Star Wars, Battlestar Gallactica, Star Trek, see where I'm going with this?

I think it still counts, it doesn't have to necessarily involve space all the timeThe Mad Hanar wrote...

Yeah, fallout is sci-fi. Just not space sci-fi.

Yeah, fallout is sci-fi. Just not space sci-fi.
Then Fallout is my vote.

Yeah, I guess the question is whether or not apocalypse/wasteland movies are sci-fi. I might vote no; it's hard to call Mad Max a sci-fi film.

Fallout has Laser guns, Plasma weaponry, Robots, Advanced AI and many other staples of Sci-Fi.
All in all i'd say it was Sci-fi.

Till the End of Time was an amazing game and the reveal was pure mind blowing. I'm assuming you're referring to The Last Hope, which was actually SO5. The reason it ends the way it does is because it's a prequel to the original Star Ocean, not a sequel to Till the End of Time.CronoDragoon wrote...
I love SO3, but Star Ocean 4 was pretty much ME3 ending-level bad except for 60 hours.
Star Ocean - 346 SD
Star Ocean: The Second Story - 366 SD (20 years after SO)
Star Ocean: Blue Sphere - 368 SD (2 years after SO2)
Star Ocean: Till the End of Time - 772 SD (404 years after SO3)
Star Ocean: The Last Hope - 10 SD (336 years before SO)
The reason I say it may be the "best" series is due to the fact that all 5 games take place in the same universe and they have extremely little contridiction between them. Your decisions in each game also have more impact on that game's finale than ME3's did...

If you suspect it is, and the guy who voiced commander bailey is in it, it's sci-fi.

Agreed, if you're the type of person who values gameplay and story over graphics it's well worth a look.

I know it's a prequel, and the idea was the genesis of the law against intervening in developing worlds. I just thought the story and character quality was subpar.
As far as SO3's twist...loved everything in the game except that.
Edit: Last Hope has to be officially SO4, since Till the End of Time is officially 3 and there was no game in between.

Tried it last fall. I couldn't get past the outdated gameplay and Carth. Sorry Kaidan...
