First off, while you can speculate reasons, the fact you need to speculate is generally what makes it a plot hole in the first place.

Second, radiation does not work that way.  Mutations don't change your body into synthetic parts.

Third, why the heck would Kohaku have access to the Citadel's sensors?

Fourth, it had less to do with why they chose a certain location and more to do with, why did they prepare so far ahead of time to give a clear path straight to what could destroy them?

Fifth, not going on away missions doesn't make him a coward.  Abandoning his comrades in a last ditch battle?  Oh hell yeah, that makes someone a coward.  In fact, irl militaries, of all sorts?  Abandoning comrades a pretty major offense.  Its just about the quickest way to get court martialed and thrown in prison.  Seriously, what's with your habit and trying to argue something completely unrelated to try and bash someone's point.  What relation does going on away missions have with RUNNING AWAY FROM A BATTLE?

To expand on the bolded, there are a lot of reasons why Joker SHOULD NOT come on the missions. FIrst off, he's the ship's pilot. It's imperative that he mans his station at all times. Secondly, he has severe physical limitations that would make him a hinderance in a group fight.

This is because Patrick Weekes is a much better writer than Mac Walters.

This is true, I have a lot of respect for Weekes. I have just about no respect for Walters as a writer.

Derailing a thread is what you would be doing.  Everything is speculation?  REALLY.  OK, so I suppose I can say Shepard died in ME1 and that could be accurate!  I don't need anything backing it up because its a game!  Yeeeah, umm, not how it works.  Writing is writing whether it be in a video game or a book.  You need to stop thinking that just because its a game it should be held above all standards.  That is stupid.

A plot hole is a plot hole is a plot hole.  The plot holes are there, there is no legitimate arguement to them not being there, it doesn't matter if you can TRY to explain it and maybe it'll make sense in some people's minds, but the fact that it requires an outside explanation instantly makes it a plot hole.  That's what a plot hole is.  An aspect of the plot that is not explained IN THE STORY.

Also any opinion put out for discussion like this is pretty much asking for comments to be made on it.  You don't get to choose who is allowed to comment on it.

It doesn't get any more epic than saving the entire galaxy from destruction and I don't see any reason to become angry if every single plot hole isn't 100% logically flawless.  This is a game and it has to be brought to an end somehow, so if you can't just enjoy it for what it is, you are really only hurting yourself.  It was an awesome story and, even though I didn't get to build a house on Rannoch with Tali, it still was an amazing ride.

100% logically flawless isn't expected...  but when the scale tilts to where almost every aspect is fundimentally flawed...  yeah, that's an issue and that's pretty much what the ending was.

Not really...  Mass Effect is an RPG and with that came Codex entries and other forms of game lore of the ME universe that explained things quite nicely.  So deciding to go away from this formula in the last 10 minutes of the last game of the trilogy doesn't fit at all and is in large part the reason so many dislike the ending among other things.

Threads like these always baffle me. People always say "I liked it" or "it was good" and then offer absolutely ZERO explanation to the horde of plot holes, inconsistencies, lackluster cinematics and obliteration of the entire goal and purpose of fighting the reapers since day one.

But hey. It was "epic" and "satisfying".

yeah ok....sure.

but it isnt unreasonable to say i simply enjoyed it as a game and didnt care about the "lore"
to some people it was just a game.

if a game hand held me all the way through and didnt let me use my imagination it wouldnt be much of a game,it would be to me like playing tetris.

ramming an opinion down someones throat is a tad rude.

I don't know why anyone would think synthesis is a good thing. My husband tried to like it and well he realized his logic was greatly flawed.

Because people complain for no reason. Everything will be improved in the Extended Cut.

ah yes there is no reason to complain. I must have mistaken the ending of ME3 to have Deus Ex Machima, a lack of narrative coherence, the destruction of characters, and the desmantleing of themes, when really it didn't. My bad.

Being allowed to use one's imagination and bad writing are two different things.  No one is ramming their opinion down anyone's throats.  Making a forum post is asking for discussion, well the OP is getting it and getting reasons for why people feel differently.  Not liking it is different from having it rammed down their throat.  Do you say that whenever someone disagrees with you about anything?  I'd like to see how well that flies.  My theory?  It doesn't work out very well.

An intelligent discussion REQUIRES people to explain themselves.  Why should those who like it be immune from doing so?  Positive criticism should be proven just as much as negative, otherwise?  Its worthless.

making a thread that just says "hey you guys i liked the game" and offers nothing more to the point seems a little pointless to me. I expected at least some reasons as to what they found appealing to redeem the ending's writing (or if they just liked the writing)

do you feel "entitled" to an explaination ?

if so then you need to explain first where this entitlement comes from,to better judge why you are so sure you deserve the time it takes to explain ourselves to you.
or is this discussion board suddenly an enforced customer survey system.

just curious

I'm honestly glad that you were able to gloss over all the plot holes and bad writing with such ease. I find it much harder to do so.  With that said, I'll wait for the ending DLC to make my final judgement, though I'm not holding my breath.

If they don't engage in discussion, this is a spam post and it deserves the "hate".
I don't start threads to say... I like Sheploo, because I like it. I say why I like it, and why I think he's the best... then I proceed to make comparisons with other people's thoughts and opinions.
