No! ME2 was an easy choice back them but ME3 in its current form, not a snowballs chance in hell.

Yeah, if they give us something to be proud of and not the crap ending we got.

In its current state, absolutely not.

Even with a fixed ending (and that's seemingly unlikely), it's still not GOTY. Too many cut-corners and broken promises. Too much greed & laziness.

Not enough passion & talent.

No. In truth i'm yet to see a game this year that is worthy of that title.

Reality Check.

Will it make GOTY? Of course it will... Will it EARN GOTY? of course not. GOTY, just like any other publication or review on video gaming is corrupt as hell. If an IGN reporter can make it into this game, then to bolster sales, EA and Bioware will make a squadmate out of the entire IGN team.

Remember, "Artistic Integrity".

No.

Why?

Every ME2-Squadmate got seriously sidelined to cameos except for Mordin and Legion.
The Ending. If they don't make use of IT... then I want to know what Mac and Casey smoked when they wrote that sh*t.

edit: There are other, smaller, complaints though. But nothing as serious as those above.

edit2: And oh yes, I forgot. We never got a COMPLETE game, even if they use IT. All the fetch quests and super rushed ending point to a rushed product shoved through the doors to meet the release date.

is this a joke thread?
No way this game will ever win game of the year. with so much negative publicity, if they did win, it would spell the end of whatever award show gave it.
No game shouldever being given a  award if it is half finished

Of course this will make game of the year! Are you guys nuts? Not only was the story completely customized to well over A THOUSAND variables but the ending was immaculate! Never before has there been such a response to the end of a trilogy!
Sure all narrative coherence broke down in the last 10 minutes of the game you must look at the big picture and stop whining so much.
Now that being said I have only played the third game once and have not played the other 2 games.

True. Other than few indie titles this year has been slow when it comes to truly grand games, AAA ones I mean.

Microsoft has way more money. If that's all it came down to, Halo 4 would win hands down. And you know it'll sell more copies on day 1 than ME3 has sold to date. Oh, and there's the development team sepcifically picked just for the purposes of reviving Halo properly.

Yeah, I think EA has got their work cut out for them.

It does deserve GOTY.

No other game is going to evoke such a strong emotional response from me in this year, and thats talking just about the maingame.

And why do you think that should be the reason for a game to become GOTY?

It's APRIL and we're awarding GOTY already?

There's premature, and then there's this thread.

It's probably be the best RPG released this year, just because it doesn't seem like there's many on the horizon. Going beyond that is ridiculous with eight months still to come.

I'm conflicted on this.

Frankly, the first 99% is so good, I'm inclined to say it should definitely be in contention for GOTY, even given the ending. I hate the ending as much as anybody, but I think it still deserves a nomination.

I didn't realize that train wrecks of games were nominated for GOTY.

Honestly ME3 should have just been able to walk into the GOTY spot but then Bioware decided to put out a half finished game so, no it doesn't deserve the honor of GOTY.

If the DLC is a success and makes the majority of the community happy then yes, if not their have to use a bit more space magic.
