No, absolutely not.
You don't get the raise the trophy the over you head when play a great game but lose in the last 5 minutes.
My Dark Horse is Assassins Creed 3 and that is a series that if very over looked by a lot people.
Do you think Mass Effect 3 deserves GOTY?

Halo 4 for me.
That sums it up for me, a copy and paste game that isn't liable for GOTY this year has a better chance of beaten a game from probably the best series so far this century.

No, however much I love the series as a story, I admit that I'd actually be incredibly surprised and disappointed if nothing better came out this year.
While individual parts of the game are amazing ( Tuchanka and character attachment for example) you need to view the product as a whole and things like too many pointless fetch quests and an overall rushed product don't make for goty in my mind, even if the ending was fixed.

In this state I'd give GOTY to Darksiders2 or TW2 before I gave it to ME3

ME3 deserves to be the most disappointing game of the year.

No , but considering that you can sleep with Diana Allers , I have a hunch it's going to get a lot of nods by lots of "places"

In answer to the OP, it would have gotten my vote, unfortunately the ending left me feeling less than generous.

For me, it's a yes so far. But as others have said, it's still early in the year and a lot of promising games on the way so who knows.

no, even without the ending the game was rushed

No. Not just because the ending but because they've "callofdutyed" the game...

To answer the OP, I will quote the Gunnery Chief in the ME2 Citadel docks:
"NO CREDIT FOR PARTIAL ANSWERS (games) MAGGOT!"
Basically FINISH the game and then we'll see.

Skyrim was 2011 GoTY and it was essentially unplayable (and had the same issue that LA Noire had, what with the whole overheating-causing-consoles-to-melt thing - I lost two PS3s to the game before finally turning the disk into a potted plant holder). That's a far bigger issue than just having a crap ending that destroys the sandcastle Bioware built. Frankly, not including the ending, ME3 was a 7.5-8/10, but it's likely to be a contender even at that.
Edit to add: It's going to have some pretty stiff competition with a new Bioshock game, and Diablo III, not to mention Halo 4 and whatever other shooters crop up this year.
Side note: ever wonder what happened to IP games? Seems like most of the games we've gotten over the past 4-5 years or so have been sequels, barring a few notable new IPs.

No way. Not whith this ending. Doesn't matter how epic the rest of the game is when the ending is so bad that it overshadows the whole experience.

Skyrim was GOTY but ME3 isn't.
There will be other games this year that will totallt blow ME3 away.

Too many flaws. The game was rushed. DLC doesn't count in a game of the year award so even with the ending extended, it won't be counted it sooooo...

If it did deserve it, it'd be a pretty damn poor year in gaming.
