1) That stupid bug that ate my first Kaidan cutscene conversation on Normandy about his family!
2) MIssing out on several other conversations due to the same bugs (see Ken and Gabby -- because you apparently need Ash alive for that ???)
3) Starkid
4) See 3.
5) See 3.
6) THE COLORS. THEY DO NOTHING.
The game isn't as polished as I'd like it to be.

The game is very short. Its rushed. Very DA2 over it.
It looks great. Plays great. But underneath its really bad.
I just replayed ME1. It have its flaws, but the story is much better.

I can like the endings, but this game? No, Fallout New Vegas can take RPG of the Year from the Witcher and DA, this game can fall behind the next Skyrim Expansion.

ME3 isn't perfect even without the ending, although it's pretty good until then. My experience of other games is very limited (i.e. none whatsoever for anything released so far in 2012) but it's not impossible to top ME3 even if the ending was perfect.

Were you expecting Mass Effect 3 to be the Game of the Decade or something? Huge disappointment can only happen because of huge expectation.slimshedim wrote...

No, I rather think it deserves the title "Disappointment of the year" or maybe even "Disappointment of the decade/century" since that's just what it is.
No, we expected what Bioware promised. What they gave is radically different than all the promises they made for a whole year about ME3 being the next coming of Jesus.
Your argument is similar to the artistic integrity joker. Just dish it out and you can never be wrong again, right? Don't make the same mistake as Bioware did and point the finger at people yelling: "This is your fault!". Disappointment or not is not the topic here.

Whilst it may be difficult for some to do so, let's forget the "ending". The game itself falls way to short of living up to either of the first two games. Not enough content or "substance" compared to the previous two games. Very poorly executed aspects to the game, with the fetch/carry "missions" being perhaps the best example.
Look beyond (or perhaps literally more accurate would be "before") the ending fiasco, there's much, much more wrong with the game, that's poorly designed and executed.
This was a game and culmination of a series of games, which warranted far more development time and leeway for Bioware, than it ultimately got. Anyone who's taken the time to look at the game without wearing those unavoidable "ending" goggles, can see that very clearly indeed.
Can't suggest alternative GOTY worthy selections at the moment, as the year is yet young, but even now, there's several games out there far more worthy of the accolade.

It has all the credentials though, great story, awesome graphic design once again, improved and exciting combat, and the on-line multiplayer is really good, if not a little repetitive however.
It's definitely up there, but who knows? Plenty of more games to come out.

Exactly my point from previously! It needed at least another year. At least.

Even if the game had endings worthy of the series, I still wouldn't vote Mass Effect 3 Game of the Year. The glitches, the horrible animations, use of stock assets poorly, retarded quest log, numerous fetch quests, requiring multiplayer to access the full ending... Yeah no.

Mark my words watch everyone is iffy about Halo 4 and that game is going to be rather good. Reach was pretty good game that had a good story. The only problem was that awesome cast was Doomed by Plot because it was prequel.
