Now that we (nearly every single one of us) has come to a consensus about the kid.

I think Bioware would admit they made a mistake and instead hiding behind the art argument or acting like the ending is to deep for us to understand,

Bioware: They were scared. There were some who thought that a sequel shouldn't be made. Terrified, of what we might mess up. But look, at what Bioware has achieved. Since that game, we have advanced more than the past 10 years combined! And the extended cut will advance those sales.
Gamers: Bull****! Destroy the kidalyst, or he destroys your sales.
Bioware: And waste this oppurtunity? Never.
Gamers: You're writing with concepts you don't understand. Plot twists you shouldn't be able to use.
Bioware: I... don't believe that. If we can sell it, why shouldn't we write it?
Gamers: Because... you're not ready...
Bioware: No...this is the way the gaming industry must evolve.
Gamers: Theres always another way
Bioware: We've dedicated our lives to understanding writing games, and I know with certainty: the kidalyst will allow us to sell games.
Gamers: And then what?
Bioware: Look at our writing powers! Look at what they can do!
Gamers: I see what they did to your forums..
Bioware: This is about things much bigger than the forums! Things much bigger than all of you!
Gamers: You're wrong. We won't buy from you.
Bioware: Then who will you buy from, gamers? Old activison, stuck in their ways, only able to make games that are the same? And what if they're wrong? What if the kidalyst is the way forward?
Gamers: Then do it. Ruin your sales.
Bioware: We.. we won't...
Gamers: If you mess up like this, you need to man up and change it. Go on. Do it. But you won't will you. They won't let you do it.
Bioware: No! We're in control! NOONE IS TELLING US WHAT TO DO!
Gamers: Listen to yourself...you're... under EA's control...
Bioware: No , no! All of you, acting so entitled! Do you think sales like this come easy!? There are sacrifices!
Gamers: You cut...too much..
Bioware: Gamers! W...we only wanted to make good games... the kidalyst can do that.. we know it can, I just..
Gamers: It's not too late...change the ending..
Bioware: I...I can't do that..gamers..
Gamers: Ofcourse you can't...you're under EA's control...
Bioware: You...you'd undo all our sales... We won't let that happen.
Gamers: Because of you, mass effect is already ruined. EA has your writers. They have us fighting each other, instead of them.
Bioware: I just need to..
Gamers: You've done exactly what EA wanted, and you're still doing it because they control you.
Bioware: I...they're too strong..
Gamers: You're stronger. Don't let them win. Break their hold. Don't let them own you.
Bioware: I tried...gamers....
*suicides*
I just wanted to quote this again. made my day

Much respect for calling it like you see it, OP, and thanks for the book recommendations. I will check them out. :-)
No problem, be warned The Legend of the Thousand Bulls is very moving. You will have an emotional rollercoaster with it.
