Saddest Scene?

If not it's triumphant. As in that thing the ending was supposed to be. He finally redeemed himself and laid all of his ghosts to rest, and did something that changes the universe for the better. In other words he did all of the things a doctor wants to be instead of all the things STG forced him to be.

Tali's suicide. I only watched it via youtube but it almost broke my heart.
Same here....didn't get it, never will, so my in-game saddest is still Mordin and Wrex's deaths but really....there is no mass effect, no Shepard, without Tali...my Shep would have jumped after her regardless, the end.
Agreed.
@Menethra: I watched it... For the second time and I won't voluntarily watch it again. EVER! *makes shepards speech pointy finger before wiping watery eyes*

1)Thane's death/prayer for Shepard
2) Mordin's sacrifice
3) Conrad's death (interestingly, Conrad's "death" can also be one of the most amusing moments)
4)) The Illusive Man's death, if you paragon him "I tried, Shepard"
5) Traumatized asari's tale. Made all the sadder when Joker tells you about his family on Tiptree
Bad tragic:
The ending. Pure tragedy.

But Grunt goes down taking several Ravagers. This moment turned from the saddest moment into the happiest moment when he then emerges from the cave covered in Rachni blood.

Mordin's death was very sad too, with him singing that song again. But I expected Mordin to die, I didn't expect Legion to. Anderson's death was touching too.
Honestly, BW had a big chance to make Shepard's death extremely sad, like to the point where I actually cry. But it was so stupid, I just feel cheated.

Mordin's death and the sad thing is....there is no choice, the Krogan are just not ready to be cured, Wrex and Eve are just two Krogan and most are just too violent. Even without the genophage to avenge they'd start wars because that is what they do, that is what started the Krogan rebellions that forced the Turians and the Salarians to create the genophage in the first place, even Eve admits that most would now want revenge....I simply do NOT see enough improvement in them to believe they would be peaceful. Every playthrough I regret having to shoot Mordin and Wrex but trillions of lives are at stake and as a Spectre I have an absolute duty to ensure the universe gets the peace it deserves once the reapers are gone.
From a tactical perspective it also makes the most sense....the real threat are the reapers in the sky far more than the puppets on the ground and the Krogan bring nothing to that. I need the scientists to better build the crucible so it can be aimed only at the reapers and I need the salarian ships to help fight in the sky. Nonetheless at the end of the day I only lose Wrex and Clan Urdnot while I keep all the rest of the Krogan clans and the Turians are on board so at the end of the day that is the best result I can get....rest in peace my friends, you will be missed and honored but trillions of lives hang in the balance, I wish things went differently.
Wrex and Eve have the backing of pretty much all the females of the krogan, and seeing how they want to rebuild their culture and stop the pointless fighting, curing the genophage is a pretty good idea. Not curing it is a way bigger problem, because once the krogan find out they've been tricked there will be massive bloodshed, that will most likely only end once the last krogan is dead. By not curing the genophage you are essentially wiping out an entire species, one way or another.

Mordin, trying to crawl his way to the console to fix the sabotaged cure after beeing shot in the back by Shepard.
Curing the genophage is a biiiiig mistake, and it doesn't matter who's in charge of them. Mordin was blinded by his own guilt.

It was so obvious that it was coming, I mean it's basically the very first thing you hear when you meet him for the first time. "I'm dying." Yet when it finally happened, it hit me like a sack of bricks. Like I didn't want to believe it and never truly did.
I hadn't even romanced him in ME2 on my first playthrough and I still cried like a baby. I seriously couldn't play for a few minutes. I had to put down the controller and just sob for a while.
Incredible writing on that part.
Mordin's death comes in second for me.
I also cried at the ending but for... different reasons.
