Saddest Scene?

Mordin's was definitely sad, but I wouldn't have wanted it any other way.
I did watch the quarian extinction scene on youtube, but it didn't hit me as hard because it was disconnected due to being from someone else's game. If I can ever bring myself to make the choice in my game, I'm sure it will be quite different. Imagine how much harder that would be if Tali was the LI. . .

Mordin, Thane and Legion made me break down. Their deaths was heartbreaking but they all went out as heroes, and the galaxy remember and honor them and their sacrifice. That made it worth it for me. Still cried like a baby though.
Grunt telling Shepard to go on without him with that music playing... Shepard hesitating and then nodding. Tears, so many tears! Then seeing him stumble out of the cave. Tears of joy!
Anderson talking with Shepard just before the ending... Was choking hard has he said his final words. Sadly this moment gets somewhat drowned out by the anger I felt over the actual ending of the game.
Something I found quite sad as well was talking with people about their families on attacked planets, like Bailey, Garrus and Udina. You know that most wont see their loved ones again even if you beat the reapers.

Although if I saw it happen, it would probably be Tali's death the way everyone describes it. I'll never see it myself though. I wont even watch it on youtube

Smart guy, wish I never watched it on youtube, I was just so curious to see how it happened, and ofcourse, extra Tali scenes are welcome... well untill I saw them.. I'll never be curious againlordofdogtown19 wrote...
Mordin's death for sure. I really wanted to see what kind of tests he would run on sea shells.

I played the stock/default, non-import Shepard and didn't have a means to save them both. I was unaware of the consequences and saw her death scene.Terrorize69 wrote...

Still again, killing Legion, the Virmire survivor or Mordin was more sad to me than any character dying of their own doing (except Udina).

2. The final scene between Shepard and Anderson was also very dramatic.
3. Saying goodbye to Liara at the end of the game when she is giving you her gift... just ripped me from inside. Cried like a baby.

Picking the Geth over the Quarians will cause the Geth to wipe out the Quarian fleet, while Tali looks on up at the sky, seeing her race become extinct. She becomes overwelmed with despair, crying her eyes out. She take of her mask to view the sunset and her world for the first and last time, before willingly falling to her death from a cliff edge.Bronze65 wrote...
Can I ask what causes Tali's suicide? She was my LI, plus I was paragon the whole way through so I had the Geth and Quarian's form an alliance and Tali survived.

His standard death is very sad, and fantastically done, but the renegade version where you shoot him in the back is just gut-wrenching. He's been betrayed by a man he considered to be a colleague and a friend - someone for whom he went to hell and back - and he is trying desperately to undo his mistake and free an entire species from the pain he brought upon them, but he never makes it. And to top it all off, Shepard shoots him with the gun Mordin gave him back on Omega. Absolutely heartbreaking.
Legion becoming a person. I wasn't a huge fan of both Legion and EDI pretty much have the same plotline - both want to become more like organics - but they were both really well done in spite of that, and Legion's sacrifice where it finally becomes a person just before perishing is pretty sad.
Also, Thane's death. I can forgive his stupidity during the cutscene with Kai Leng (his gun was touching his head and yet he still missed??) because his death was very well done.
Anderson's final scene (particularly the extended version on YouTube). One of the most emotional moments I've experienced in gaming. I would have been very satisfied if the game had ended there: if the Crucible had just docked and activated while you sat there and died with Anderson.

I'll never understand why people make decisions purely based on their position on a wheel. I've actually heard stories about people changing their minds at the end of Legion's loyalty mission after seeing which choice was paragon and which was renegade.t_skwerl wrote...
My first game was a non import brand new FemShep. So, when I got to the point where it was Legion or Tali, being a paragon, I naturally chose "Upload the code". Sat there with my jaw on the floor, as the Quarians were wiped out and Tali... "Nononononono!" Reload save.
Don't let the game choose your morality for you.
