Ok guys, just cause I was curious what the community would say.  What are everyone's favorite warriors from either movies or reality? And also what weapons did they use.  I'm trying to find inspiration here to create my Dragon Age Origins character, which of course will be a warrior.

So some of my favs:

Leonidas (Spartans)
Weapon: spear and shield  (I'm really bummed Dragon Age doesn't allow the option of a polearm and spear and shield)

William Wallace
Weapon:  Claymore (among others)
Ok Braveheart my totally inspire me to just create a 2h warrior.B)

Luke Skywalker, Star Wars.

Templar, two-handed weapon specialist, makes the most sense to play this.

P.S. - I don't consider this fun interaction starter "off-topic" at all!

Come on, readers, which fictional or historical character do YOU like to base your DAO character on?

I was going to suggest this one as soon as I read the thread title but alas, you have it.
Pity you can't make your Warden 6ft 7 with a sword the size of a man. And wear a kilt. Else it'd be just peachy.

Anyways , my suggestion would be possibly Achilles. Sword & shield warrior with light armour. May work out well. ;)

You might be my favorite person in the entire world. I actually watched a gameplay video from that a few weeks back. Just someone playing the game for about 10 mins. Brought back memories. I nearly crapped my pants when I finally had the money to buy that from Toys R Us when I was a kid!

wow some great ideas.

one of my other thoughts was a dual wield warrior

Lancelot from the King Arthur movie (the one when they were all Romans)

Weapon: Dual wield 2 sword.

Didn't like the movie too much but i kinda like how he used the two swords.

Ah Kyros, the only guy who could jump that high in a full suit of armor.
Ironsword was nearly impossible though, I never completed it.

Yeah, the first time I talked to her she made me think of Jeanne d'Arc.

I was going to say Achilles, too bad speed attacking speed isn't dependent on armor otherwise a light armor warrior would be peachy.
