Whine whine whine. You play a sci-fi game and you complain over the pipes, when you have synthetics with with a lamp in their head. Stop overanalyzing every piece of the game, i feel sorry for you. What do you want? Shepard with a thanix cannon shooting at the pipes?
I think it's very clear what most of us want. You on the other hand what do you get out belittling legitimate customer complaints? does it make you feel all grown up and edgy or something?
No, as I said earlier. I didn't like the ending, but whining about it 24/7 won't make it better. They are working on the extended cut, but still people are whining. The extended cut is not enough for some people, and still they don't even know it's content. All we know is that it will give us clarification and closure.
And legitimate customer complaints? Tell it to Bioware employees who have been harassed and threatened by some people, I know not all people are like that. But I see alot of whining about small things that don't even matter. If you analyze all games like some people do about ME3, there wouldn't be any good games at all. I know ME3 have some flaws, but all games has flaws.
Because some crackpot making threats has what bearing on the rest of us?
ME3's ending has flaws that bring the entire trilogy crashing down. Don't like us complaining about it? Tough.

"Sure thing, Dave."
"Don't you think we should install a switch to activate the destroy sequence?"
"...Nah, we're running out of resources as it is. Just leave the wires exposed. If we want to trigger it we can just shoot it or something."
"What if whoever activates the thing doesn't have a gun on hand, or they've run out of thermal clips?"
"C'mon, man. Don't be ridiculous. I'm sure that'll never happen."

I'll take shooting a pipe over getting disintegrated to support a philosophy so abhorently racist that it'd make all of Earth's worst bigots combined vomit in terror.

I prefer my Shepard to grab the exposed power lines, because, Hey. The kid said so.

EDIT: And most of us want? Don't you think there are alot of people out there who likes this game but doesn't bother to come to this forum? People who likes to complain about something they don't like wan't to get response from developers and other people, while others who like the game are playing it instead of being here.
You know, just like Glowboy, you are ignoring reality and you continue to state what is, in fact, something different than what we are seeing around us.
"No, as I said earlier. I didn't like the ending, but whining about it 24/7 won't make it better."
But in fact, it has made it better (at least many people hope so). Do you think for a moment that there would even be an Extended Cut DLC without the constant pressure that was put on Bioware by those "whining" customers? No, if it was up to the people who sat their taking whatever BW shoved in their pieholes, we'd all have had the announcement about the new in-story, for a fee DLC mission with nothing done to address the garbage of an ending they created.

"Hey Rachni, what are you guys working on over there?"
"We're giving the player other options for the end so they can committ suicide in a different way, what about you?"
"We thought it would be cool to let whoever reaches these handholds to control the Reapers."
"Why not just use them right now?"
"Because we need the Catalyst."
"What will this Catalyst do?"
"Insult our intelligence, then tell us to shoot the wall, grab the hand holds or jump into the beam."

But they said there'd be no Reaper off button!
Well a reaper off tube is just ****ing stupid. Probably just reminded walters of what he was sniffing glue from that morning.

Shooting the pipe is what supports the StarChild's philosophy since it destroys all synthetic life that could present a threat to organic. The Angry One wrote...

Jumping into the green beam of light opens an universe of unlimited possibilities for all life. Organic and Synthetic.
I consider that worhy of being disintegrated for.

Yeah, as MrBtongue pointed out most of the time if you shoot a machine with your pistol, it breaks the machine.
But whoever designed the crucible most have controlled all their devices/weapons/starships with explosions.
That's odd.

Well, Shepard pictured Anderson shooting the pipe... so he thought it was the right way to do it. Or maybe the Catalyst gave him that vision. Or something.2papercuts wrote...
