Is magic any good for warriors and rogues?

I've noticed that the race bonuses given by the elf and the human on magic are kind of a waste for warriors and rogues. Do you think that it becomes useful with the specialisation, such as with the templar for the warrior? I'm not sure, but what I understand so far is that the templar uses special abilties and not spells. Therefore magic would be useless. What do you think?

EDIT: Aside from being good with the herbalism skill (since I don't think it has a huge impact anyways).

I believe magic increases the effect of salves and potions. I'll have to check the CC to confirm, pretty sure that's what it says though.

I think that the magic boost also deals with resistance to magic too, and some of the traps are magic if I remember correctly. And Templar do have spells, I think.

When you choose Templar says in wiki that you get +2 to Magic. So I guess you need it for something.

I guess they decided that deciding on stats or melee types was too easy hehe. At least now everything should benefit someone in one way or another.

Yes, Magic powers up potion & salve useage power. Who knows, maybe the Templar 'abilities' will use the Magic stat in their formulas. If not, then the +2 Magic will be awfully questionable a attribute bonus choice.

I believe someone was digging through files on the other forum and found a holy smite spell for templars. Perhaps it is affected by magic?

I think warriors and rogues will be more concerned with boosting stats more focused on their class then worry about extra resistance and benefits from item consumables. That is what mages are for... heal/buffbots. ;p

After playing, have you found an advantage? On my part, I found none. I think it only makes the humans and the elves warriors and rogues weaker classes.

What says your experience with the game? Does magic has an impact other than for mages? Have you noticed a difference with the power of the salves?
