YES! YES! YES!
They deserve to be shown in a good light like Geth were with Legion or Krogans with Wrex.

I think the Batarian squaddie should be the sick one you save in Mordin's recruitment mission. He was a counterpoint to the "Batarians are evil" impression you get drummed into you over the series. I really liked talking to him and hearing the POV of an average, reasonable Batarian on humans and why they distrust humans so much.
Plus he was quick with that gun.

Absolutely, I'd love to have a batarian between my ranks. Well ****, if Vega had only been a batarian observer for the trial it'd been so much better. He'd have served the purpose of 'introducing Shepard's story' as well as Mr Vega does, but would have spiced things up so much more.
Batarian squadmate for the win!
Batarian observer is a great idea!

Always found the species interesting, it'd be great to actually interact with one that's not set on fighting me!

At first he resents humanity, and if you're paragon with him he starts to like you and then he becomes a bro. If you are renegade with him then he keeps hating humanity.
Sadly, there aren't really full-fledged conversations on the Normandy anymore :/

No, they killed my family and I still remember fighting them off in the Emperors name on Elysium. They are the only xenos filth I will not tolerate.

I want Aria as a permanent squaddie and LI. Same goes for Parasini. I want some ME2 squaddies and as I've stated before: a human from our time, who uses "ancient" firearms and is shocked at the new tech and terrified of Krogan and Turians.
Heck, it'd be awesome to somehow have Anderson on your squad.

Apart from Aria, none of them are possible.
