One thing that was fun in my first playthrough of the game was that none of the specializations were unlocked. I am just wondering if there is a way to reset it without making a new account since I don't want to lose my DLC, just the unlocked features.
I have also noticed that romances and such also are a lot easier after the first time through.
Does anyone know if this is possible?
Is there a way to reset achievements?

When you start a new game with a new character you'll need to unlock the specializations (ie. Assassin), all over again. The unlocks are linked to the main PC, not your account.
Although it seems some people have the specializations remaining unlocked for all characters after the first one gets it, so perhaps there is a bug somewhere?

Err, no. They were unlocked across multiple characters for me.
I was able to take the Arcane Warrior specialization at Lv.7 before ever going to the elf forest.
It's kind of cool but also kind of lame.
Can exploit this by saving next to a merchant that sells a specialization book, buying it, making a save, and loading the previous save. You'd retain the specialization and not have to spend your gold on the book.
I also did this for the Blood Mage and Reaver specializations. I saved a "fork" file and went on and did what I needed to do to get those and then continued normally on another save. (I don't wanna lose Leliana for the specialization and I usually do "good" things ingame, not evil

This thread here seems to indicate there's some variation between players on whether or not they stay unlocked.

I've gotten every achievement in the game, and always been logged in without issue, my profile has always been up to date.
Thinking there may be a bug involved somehow.

It may be a PC vs. Console difference as well. I just hope there is a way to do it since you need to be logged in for the DLC to work.

It's all in your "Profile.dap". If you're brave, take a Hex editor and play around with that file a bit.

Hmm, easier than I thought. Profile.dap is just a GFF file in version 4.0.
You can use the toolset to change it.
But don't cry if you mess up something heavily.

I'd also like this feature. Unfortunately, there are many other important features/fixes that need to be adressed...

Hmm... this has no impact on the online database though correct? I'm looking for an option to reset achievements through my online profile diagnostics or something...

Ah, I understand. Well modifying the Profile.dap affects your game. I don't think the upload system has a function to delete achievements in your online profile.
But even if BioWare would provide a feature on the website to delete the achievements, they all would be there again with the next update - unless you also delete them from your Profile.dap.

No. Once your achievements are uploaded to the website they are there to stay, unlike deleting screenshots or characters.

Why can't they provide an option to delete or reset them? How could it be so hard?
