Miranda. There is NO reason for her to NOT join you. She's looking for her sister? Liara is the Shadow Broker. Done deal. Being hunted by Cerberus assassins? The Normandy is occupied by Commander Shepard and a band of the deadliest soldiers in the galaxy. Done deal.

Hell, tere was an opportunity for her to come aboard right after Sanctuary, where she tells you she's going to get her injuries treated. She could have come aboard and hung out in the medbay for a while. She already knows Shepard, EDI, Joker, Garrus, Tali, Ken and Gabby, so it isn't like she's a stranger to anyone.

Plus it would make up for her mind boggling lack of Cerberus closure in ME3, and possibly offer a chance for a real romance scene, with pillow talk (Like the squad romances had).

Grunt, Samara, or Miranda. All 3 of them have crappy reasons not to re-join Shepard. Everyone else's is at least acceptable.

My top picks would be Miranda, Zaeed and Kasumi...though with the shortchanging the ME2 team received, I'd be happy with anything that allows any of them more face time.

Jack of course. She was the only non-squadmate to recieve a full blown makeover. But we only get to see her only three times. And her romance was horrable. They put all that time in giving her a new makeover just to kick her to the curb. I'm seriously starting to think that makeover was to just make her character seem more appealing to a greater audiance. Because there has been alot more Jack fans popping up from out of the wood works like crazy, and there wasn't that many before. Sometimes I just wish they would of just kept her old appearence.

Since I want at least all LIs back, it's going to be Miranda, Jack, Thane and Jacob for me.

But my fave out of that bunch is Miranda. I want her back, if not as XO, then as liaison officer to ex-Cerberus labs & such. Could also work as researcher.

Also I want her back for epic banter & friendship with Ashley ^^

Wrex, Legion, Mordin, Kasumi, Jack , Jacob have a greate ( Wrex,Legion,Mordin) and good tasks and personal mission, for not come whit you, but

Zaeed after recruited for you some mercenaries and bloody bastards, he can also be recruited

Giving a second look, only 2 characters can join the squad with no much problem. Let's see first those who can't.

- Thane: He always dies.
- Legion: He always dies.
- Mordin: He dies, and in the scenario where he is alive, he needs to stay hidden from all the krogans.

Now, the next character have responsibilities. If they board the Normandy, they'll leave some people on their own.

- Jack: She need to stay with her students. And she got close with them.
- Grunt: He's the leader of the best krogan commandos. He has to stay with them.
- Jacob: He says that he is protecting the families of the ex-cerberus people. And it looks he is working as security personal on the Crucible. He follows Hacket orsers.

Kasumi and Zaeed DLC characters, that's the only restriction with them, they really don't have much problem to join Shepard.

And now, the two characters that don't have any problem joining Shepard:

- Miranda: After sanctuary she is free of any concerns regarding Oriana. She has no reason to not join Shepard, and considerating that the mission after Sanctuary is TIM's base I can't understand how the writers failed to have her there.
- Samara: After saving her last daugther she has nothing else to do. A justicar is like a lone wolf, she doesn't have any problem to join Shepard again.

I won't say nothing about Morinth because BW made the worst work with her.

If Bioware were to do a DLC where a past character gets to be recruited then my wish list, in order is:

Kasumi
Jack
Grunt
Thane's Son
Kelly
Zaeed

Kasumi, Zaeed, Samara, and Miranda are the only ones I can see making sense without making significant plot changes (and/or having people act completely out of character).

It wouldn't be that hard either to implement from a combat perspective if they wanted to cheat:

1) Miranda could use a mix and match from the Liara and Kaiden power sets.
2) Samara could use Liara's power set (or swap some powers for ones from the Asari Justicar in MP)
3) Zaeed could use Vega's power set.
4) Kasumi... She still needs her own. I like her teleporting around and killing things.

But because they gave her a shiny new character model for this game, Jack. She needs to be there for sure!

I want Jack back, and I'm even a straight female. She's a fun character, and I liked her even more in ME3.

Well I miss Thane the most, and leaving Life Support empty felt like a gutpunch to me.
They even left his mug is on the table
Heck, I'd honestly sacrifice VS or Liara for Thane in a heartbeat.
Truth to be told, I'd be squeeing til I'm blue in the face if all of the ME2 cast could return ala, that concept art in the Mass Effect art book.

I don't think this is a great idea...

The Normandy crashes and is separated from Shepard, who remains on earth if she survives.

I'm happy with Kelly staying on the citadel and finding an escape pod to earth. I don't want her stranded in another star system without a ship.
