Who are your 'canon' LIs?

Timeline 1:
DAO
Male Dwarf Rogue of House Aeducan (supports Harrowmont when it comes to that)
In love with Morrigan but their relationship goes south after agreeing to the ritual (actually, I would have preferred him be with Oghren or Alistair but hey)
DAII
M!Hawke, Force Mage, sassy AND classy (lots of purple and blue)
In love with Anders even once his plan succeeds and leaves with him (I would have actually preferred a Varric romance though)
Timeline 2:
DAO
Female Dalish Elf Warrior, peaceful but hard
In love with Leliana (though the game keeps thinking she wants to bone Alistair because she said, one time, that she thought he'd make a good king)
Loghain sacrifices himself
DAII
F!Hawke, Warrior, Red all the way
In love with Isabela
Attempts to take no sides but ends up siding with the Templars

Exactly, Dragon Age is a game that allow the gamer to create their story from a few programmed/written variables, no argument there. But the use of the word canon is still wrong, Canon means that one story would be an officially declared "right" path. Nothing you ever do in the game can be considered canon, for it is not an official bioware declaration. (And your opinion doesn't matter, it's the stated meaning of a commonly misused word that matters)motomotogirl wrote...

No, your communication skill just isn't very good. Canon means "Officially Released" which "your" warden is not.
Dragon Age is an RPG that allows the player to "write" her own experience. Therefore, a player can create her own canon (my opinion).
Also, pointless personal attack much?
Also, i do not intend to attack anyone, I'm simply stating what you appear to be.
We are operating with the terms headcanon and personal canon fairly loosely on this forum. Attacking the word canon is just nitpicking. That is because people are nitpicky and I aren't.And saying to someone that they have bad commonication skills are 90% sure to be taken as an insult.
Your communication skills are not very good.
See, douchebagery has no function or pupose; head canon is a legitimate term coined BECAUSE of games like Dragon Age. However, saying 'That is because people are nitpicky and I aren't' is just bad English and poor communication skills, so practice what you preach ye?
Anyway, on topic.
My Dragon Age Origins headcanon is a Male Human Mage. I imagine him sort of 'renegade' but within the bounds of good; he hates blood magic, explotation of the weak and corrupt governments (Chantry). So he killed Connor (blood magic wasn't an option, and I made him pragmatic. Traveling 2 weeks+ when demons are running rampart wasn't an option), spared the Dalish, Bhelen was on the throne with the Anvil destroyed and the Circle was cleansed. His romance option was Morrigan; he loved her independance and free spirit. But alas, it wasn't meant to be; the Dark Ritual sounded too much like Blood Magic for his taste and he refused and performed the Heroic Sacrifice, with Loghain alive and Alistair/Anora as King/Queen.
Dragon Age 2 is more tricky truthfully. I've played it multiple times but simply can't 'stick' to one character; my concept is though a male mage Hawke, who would be sarcastic and ultimately free of any concern/a merceny, but with the death of all his family he latches onto Anders and gets obsessed over the Mages plight and consequently joins Anders in madness.
But meh, dunno if that will stick. Oh well, plenty of time till DA3!

DA2 is a little more tricky. My Hawke flirted with everybody when the option was available, waxed the brass tuba with Isabela but didn't take it to love, made sure to have a go with everybody in the brothel at least once, and once again polished the silver spoon with Isabela, only with Zevran too this time.
So...Serendipity?

DAO: Male warrior Cousland, in a relationship with Morrigan( left Ferelden with her) hardened Alistair and made him marry Anora so Ferelden would remain strong.
2nd(still in progress) Aedan Cousland 2 handed warrior, previous relationship with Morrigan, will end up marrying Anora and exiling Alistair or executing him (teehee)
3rd: Natia Brosca as a rogue, in a relationship with Leliana, will harden Alistair, make him marry Anora and spare Loghain and probably let Loghain sacrifice himself.
4th: Human male Amell, relationship with Morrigan, Alistair as king.
DA 2: A diplomatic MM Hawke (who is also a blood mage) with a rivalry romance with Isabela sided with mages. (Carver will join the Grey Wardens)
2nd: Female Berserker/Reaver with an aggressive personality in a friendly romance with Fenris, sides with Templars. (Bethany will join the Grey Wardens)
3rd: Male Templar will probably have a rivalry romance with Merril or friendly one with Isabela not sure yet, he will side with Templars and of course Bethany will be taken to the deep roads and Hawke will be forced to put her down.
4th: Female Spirit Healer/force mage in a rivalry relationship with Sebastian, will let Carver join the templars. She will side with the mages.

They're choices are pretty much the same, though, except that I keep Alistair as warden in the dwarf noble playthrough.
My Hawke is a pro-mage Fenris-romancing diplomatic mage

DA2 - Merrill. I was playing a Mage!Hawke so it seemed logical they'd end up together. That and I find her adorable.

For DA2, it's much simpler for me. Fenris and Female Hawke, either a rogue or a mage.

DA2 - either F!Hawke rogue, friendmanced Fenris.
or F!Hawke mage, rivalmanced Fenris - undecided which one to use.
For any later playthroughs of DA:I I plan on going for F!Amell who romanced Leliana and recruited Loghain and/or F!Cousland who romanced Alistair and became queen. As I only finished DA:O once so far these may be Keep decisions.

My headcanon Warden is Aletta Cousland (rogue), and is Leliana's girl all the way. Timeline branches into Aline Hawke (rogue) who's with Isabela, Deana Hawke (also rogue) who's with Fenris, and Lianna Hawke (mage), who's with Anders.
Secondary Warden is Dali Tabris of the Denerim alienage, who romanced Zevran but broke his heart when she gave her life against the Archdemon . Timeline splits into Gahan Hawke (rogue and a bit of a ****-end, who rival-romances Merril) and Aline again.
Tertiary Warden is Daylen Amell, who romanced Morrigan, but never followed her because I could never get the Witch Hunt DLC to work (in my head, he tried, but failed to find her). Timeline splits into Marlene Hawke (mage, rivalmances Isabela), and Aline (she's my canon Hawke, so I play a version of her in a savechain with all my favourite Wardens).

Jeffrey Cousland: Queen Anora
Belorfin Tabris: Morrigan (followed through eluvian)
Victor Surana: Morrigan (watched her enter eluvian, but
^ Correction! ... continued his duties as a Grey Warden
Darren Brosca: Leliana
Duran Aeducan: Leliana (died killing the Archdemon)
Dragon Age II
Jeffrey Hawke (Tabris save), warrior: Isabela. I wanted to like Merill, but the whole "I have no problem with demons" thing is such a turn-off for my Hawke.
Anya Hawke (Cousland save), rogue: Anders, but she tells him to leave Kirkwall when he kills Elthina.
Victoria Hawke (Surana save), mage: Anders
Edit: I might as well say them all. I decided not to use the dwarf saves until I see the Keep.
Final edit, 4 days later: Corrected Victor. Darren was the chancellor, not Victor.

Origins: A goody-two-shoes rogue Anya Cousland, befriended/was nice to/recruited/maxed approval to all possible companions in Origins+ DLC, Dark Ritual completed with Alistair, married the king version of Alistair and stuck around at court with him- she was generally between mage-neutral and mage-friendly. Also practically best buds with Morrigan, wished her well before she went through the mirror, and kept the Architect alive, I'm betting that will effect something in future DA games. Other things done were Connor was saved, Loghain was executed by PC, Werewolves had their curse removed and Elves kept safe, Bhelen was king, mages kept safe in the circle, ashes kept safe and Genetivi did whatever it was that he did with them and Redcliffe survived.
DA2: I haven't decided one for DA2 yet, I'm still trying to make a perfect playthrough since I keep messing up one thing or another. The idea I have in mind for it is a male mage Hawke, generally heroic/good or trying to save everyone he can (the ones that aren't intent on killing others, anyway), not sure if he should be sarcastic or diplomatic, befriends/is nice to/recruits/maxes friendship to all possible companions, a friendmance Anders, runs away with him, sides with the mages, and for the whole mage freedom thing yet won't resort to the same methods as Anders. I'll keep a rivalmance Anders I'm currently going through as a spare, just in case that impacts Inquisition or future DA games.

In DAII, my female mage, Kyana Hawke, romances Anders, sides with the mages, and runs off with him into the sunset. My male rogue, Darren Hawke, loves Fenris and always will. He still sides with the mages, though.

That is exactly like the playthrough of my female human noble, Layla Cousland.

Mercy Hawke (a sarcastic but decent-hearted primal/force/spirit healing mage) romanced Fenris and reluctantly sided with mages because that seemed to be the lesser of two evils under the circumstances.
