I love this thing!  It turns all +50 xp Codexes into +75 xp.  (It's a belt available at the Wonders of Thedas in Denerim, & it's cheap).  Granted there are some Codexes you get before you can even go to Denerim, but I now make this item a priority & it's simply worth a ton of experience.

You can even min/max it if you really want to, by equipping it before a Codex & then unequipping it after for your "real" belt, but I just tend to leave it on my main character all the time.  Anyone have any idea how much extra xp having this thing equipped is worth?  There's 300+ Codexes, & not all give xp, but still, if even being really conservative & we say 100 do, that's an extra 2,500 xp, for doing nothing but wearing a belt.

And that's just a conservative estimate.  Anyone else a huge fan of the Archivist's Sash?

Just donate herbs or money and wear a better belt. You're not getting past level 25 anyway.

Yeah I have to admit I tend to end up with my main PC wearing it all the time even if missing out on other bonuses (although if I really wanted to I could add some with the winter forge mod)

I've never gotten past level 22...weep. And apparently I'm still missing things like those two chests in Denerim that I can't open or figure out how to.

Give your main character one point in stealing. You get an entirely new quest tree that eventually will include them

Never used this. I don´t care for min/maxing so much, after Lv 16-18 I´m overpowered anyways. What´s the point in levelling further?

yeah at level 26 is doesn't allow you to level up anymore i did that donation thing with my level 18 character who had to much junk and she could only go up to 26 then the exp symbol turned into a squiggly line that didn't tally exp anymore

Made it to lvl 23 on my rogue last time, no sash, didn't really concentrate on donating stuff but I did nearly all available quests. Needed 2,648 more xp to lvl 24 (gap between 23 and 24 is 13,000 total). I'd still much rather wear a normal belt than the sash. Like the shadow belt (3% crit, reduces hostility).

In short, I think the archivist's sash is essentially useless.

I have done it as a mage and a warrior. All you need is one point in strealing (which anyone can get)

As my linked guide states, the Archivist's Sash does help in getting Level 25 if you're metagaming. This is without infinite donations, glitches or exploits.

I'm not really a big fan of the item but I switch to it if im expecting a codex update.
