Announcing that they're even going to do something with the ending via DLC is a necessary first-step. Anything after that depends on how much effort they put into this DLC and how many legitimate criticisms they take into account with it.
We'll see when summer rolls around...

If they manage to fashion that craptastic dirge of misery into a suitable ending to an otherwise fantastic series, yeah, I'll be impressed. Most companies wouldn't even bother to listen until sails started dropping.
I would GAIN a great deal of respect for them if they're not only willing to try cleaning up their mistake, but prove their ability as writers by finding a workable way around all this crap.
But that's probably not going to happen, more likely the new DLC will attempt to polish a turd and do it's best to deny it's a turd.

BW said they were not going to change the ending, just explain it to us stupid philistines.
so, Joker will still run away for no good reason and take squad mates off of earth some how.
relays will still explode destroying earth and almost all other inhabited worlds.
the other plot hoes and bad logic will still be there.
IF u have to go back and explain an ending, u have failed in the 1st place.
And they still haven't amitted that they had BAD logic, plot holes, and Messed up the ME LORE.

I'll still look at them with suspicion, and I might not even follow the next Mass Effect trilogy at all. I am not going to buy a game from a developer who burns their own fans.
I'm more pissed about their PR campaign bs than the game at this point.
