That Picture ain't real people

Can't be, no one is that stupid/clueless.

Oh its real.

We lack the proper data to come to consensus at this time, however if this image is true as the posts being made in this thread lead us to believe, then this mobile platform wishes that it could shed tears.

Use logic.
First, the quote. I linked to the ad with the quote from Entertainment weekly.
Second, the image we know as Bioware.
Three, all over the internet, not just here claims to have gotten this email.

PM me with your e-mail address and I'll happily forward you the e-mail I got from EA.

Whoever made that ad is Great King Troll of the world.

Also, I thought this thread was going to be a TCAP reference with regards to starchild and the stargazer.

A screenshot would be helpful also.

You know whats funny and very ironic? They talk about "artistic integrity"... How about business ethics? If they are so attached to their artistic integrity, they should be even more concerned about their actions as a business and how this will be perceived. Some of you say it is EA who has sent this image... no one from Bioware sits in these communication/marketing meeting? Cmon.

GEEEZZ,  don't know you that anyone with an once of artistic integrity cannot have any real business ethics - one trait cannot exsist geneticly with the other. They are mutally exclusive. IT's TRUE! Really, Just Like space magic!!
(roflmao after a margarita having previously gotten sick at the sight of that add)

There is this However, If they are posting adds like that, then they really are in trouble and know it.
Loved the BBB info.

To be fair, the e-mail came from EA (MassEffect@em.ea.com to be exact). I kind of doubt BioWare had anything to do with sending it out.

I don't.

Seems like something Mac or Casey would do at this point.

Seriously I doubt they would do this.  I just can't believe it of BioWare.

REALITY CHECK:  EA=Bioware   Bioware= EA

I'd put one up, but it wouldn't show anything that hasn't already been posted as images in this thread already.

Hmm, why do they continue to poke the beehive? If they thought it was just going to blow over ala Mr. Woo's...

"People got angry when NWN came out and it wasn't BG.
People got angry when KotOR came out because it was a console game.
People got angry when Jade Empire came out because it was a different setting, and it was an action RPG.
People got angry when Mass Effect came out because it was a shooter.
People got angry when Dragon Age: Origins came out because it wasn't BG.
People got angry when DA2 came out because it wasn't DAO.
People got angry when ME2 came out because it wasn't ME1.
And now people are angry at ME3.

The cycle will continue as long as people feel they have an inalienable right to never be disappointed, or that their money entitles them to be rude or condescending to others, or that their opinions are the only, best, or right ones."

Why shout about their 75 perfect scores? *sigh* I even liked DA2 for the most part...

Yes, but I highly doubt the same group of people currently working on creating games and content (i.e. the heart of what I think of as BioWare) has anything to do with the group responsible for drumming up more business via ads and e-mail.  They'd be a part of the EA business machine.

More of EA's amoral fingerprints over everything. Seriously, has that middle finger of theirs taken even a minute break since release day?

Nope. Just goes to show you though that Biowares shift into the cinimatic game really has begun to realize it's full potential.

It's a lie by omission, it's not legally wrong, but it is morally wrong.

There is factually or morally nothing wrong with the statement they make in that add. ME3 ending has generated one of the largest fan responses in gaming the gaming industry as a medium.

Becuase of how terrible the ending is.

The fact that they include the line "75 perfect scores" is misleading as to the reason for the "largest fan response".  Therefore, morally wrong; though most PR spin is morally wrong by definition.

Which one is the truth?

...mass effect 3 has provoked a bigger fan reaction than any other video game.

...mass effect 3 has provoked a bigger negative fan reaction than any other video game.
