The fact that he constantly refers to me not to the topic speaks volumes about his hypocrisy regarding derailing of topics themselves but that is something I have already just confronted him about above in my last post.

At least my information is accurate. Remember when you were counting the sales on Amazon UK? You were wrong  both in your time and quantity estimates.

And then when we did the calculations ourselves, it turned out Amazon UK was only selling a couple thousand a month!

C'mon, Dragoonlordz!

Wrong.

My number on stock was right and they related to stock levels dropping over periods of time the only thing I got wrong is period of time between posts. But nice try. Your also mistaken in how many they sold per month, you guessed based on one seller out of 25 which were all selling the same product at the same time and tried to paint a false picture of Amazon sales basing your figures of a single seller stock dropping over that period of time.

Here is the relevant area of the relevant thread. Anyone can look at your posts where you change both time and quantity:

The problem with it is lying by omission. Those aren't their words, people. It's a quote taken out of context, and that's bad.

I was making a guess on time. The numbers themselves relating to stock was factual however.

Said such there, said such here.

It's hilarious you post that in a thread based on this:

"So it makes sense that the ending of Mass Effect 3 has provoked a bigger fan reaction than any other videogame’s conclusion in the medium’s history."

Because most people don't give a crap. You're still a vocal minority, but a vocal minority that is screaming as loud as you can, for as long as you can.

But that's a fact, and I don't expect you to acknowledge facts.

A self-selecting poll has predictive power when the sample size is large enough and lopsided enough and there is confirming evidence everywhere.

The vast flaws in the polling in that example has been shown and debated enough times that you should know by now it won't do you any favors.

How is it lying by omission.  All they are saying is that ME3 has caused a ruckus.  Thats it.

They didn't say it was good or bad or anything.  They didn't give an opinion therefore they didn't "lie" about anything.

Some of you want to read into too much.  Yes what they said was meant to peak ppl interests....but they didn't lie about anything.

Allowing multiple votes destroys any credibility of a "large enough sample size" right there. I mean, you're wrong on the other part too, but even going by your logic, your agument is inherently flawed.

You can believe all the polls provide no proof, the fan reviews provide no proof, and all the worldwide media attention provides no proof.

Your lack of proof is the only thing you have.

How did it allow multiple votes?

there were polls on Facebook, Twitter and various gaming sites that all showed the
same thing: an overwhelming majority of voters disliked the ending.
Check the explosion of ME3 ending vids on YouTube, there are LOTS.

It's lying by omission because in the original context it was talking about the uproar about the ending. They're twisting it to imply something good.

It's user-based, not IP address based. I guess there weren't any multiple votes for the 2% that liked the ending as-is. Seems easy enough to fake, right?

The BSN one that kbct consistently touts as being "the best poll ever" allowed multiple votes. This is a fact. It was advertised as an anti-ending poll "come tell us how much you hated the ending". This is a fact. This poll has influenced other polls because they're all drawing from the same self-selecting sample group. This is a fact.

These are all facts. You can not like them to your heart's content, but it doesn't change matters.

It's business, their agenda is to sell more products to those who have yet to buy it. Some of those who might of already bought it have a different agenda and the two will not be the same. It is a very clever way to put a positive spin on a group within a customer bases expression of negativity.

So, "because your side MIGHT have done it means that it's completely okay for my side to have done it"? No. There have been Retakers that confirmed that it allowed multiple voting and was advertised in one specific way.

It is a trash poll.

No, thats how you read it. There is nothing thats being implied by "has provoked a bigger fan reaction...."

Reading it like you are isn't exactly wrong, but here the fact: they left the impression open.  B/c some read it as "it might be a good thing" and some read it as "It might be a bad thing".

The genius of the ad is that they know, regardless, this whole thing will  peak ppls interests.  They don't need to imply it.

Funny, given you have yet to make a single comment on topic itself.

I have to question your maturity when you enter threads to go specifically after individuals not comment about the topic of the thread itself. Something you do so often. Borderline the only thing you do these days. Don't get me wrong having a stalker who always only talks about me when he is present in a thread is entertaining but hardly enlightening.

So you mean to say that the ones on twitter, facebook, gaming sites, etc. Were only ever seen by people against the ending. Well, the ones on facebook would have been seen by everyone who liked the pages that made the polls, and the ones on the gaming sites would have been seen by everyone who went to the sites. Looks to me that the specified audience was Gamers who have internet access to me. You may not like it but it is true.

I shouldn't have said they were trying to imply something good, but the point is that the uproar was a bad thing and they're taking it out of context to be used to pique interests. You just said yourself that half of those interests piqued would be thinking "it might be a good thing." It's not.

Average user reviews point to the same thing. Fact.

Unprecedented media coverage points to the same thing. Fact.
