Anyways... Why not sit back and see what happen? Some people's insults ring hollow, yet they seem to think that bringing up the same arguments over and over is achieving something. It isn't. I understand where the rage is coming from, and at a time you could almost say it was justified. But it is starting to get a bit much now. Getting that angry, and for this long, over something like a game is not very healthy.

Argue to your wit's end if you like. Big yourself up by asserting your views and opinions if you want, but surely it's time for peace on this forum? Some people seem way too keen on proving each other wrong, and putting other people down by saying they're 'wrong' or 'biased' and many other typical arguments, to the point where they view the fan base as being split into different groups. People who have that viewpoint inevitably develop an 'it's them and us' mentality, and so their raging becomes more poisonous. What they gain from it, I do not know. We become our own worst enemies when we fail to resist the temptation to complain a little more, because it ends up spiralling out of control.

My argument is that these forums just seem to be swimming in negativity. Let's bring in a bit of positivity!


For instance.. For those of you who play multiplayer, don't forget that Bioware have release d new races, weapons, maps and classes, all for free. Not a penny do we have to spend for that.

For those of you who, like me, were rather bothered by the face import bug: BioWare have released a new patch which fixes this problem. Yeah, our Shepards will always look a little different, as ME3 uses an updated version of the game engine. I actually think mine looks slightly better.. But that's just me. The fact is, Bioware have addressed this problem. And some people thought they wouldn't!

And to those who despise (to put it nicely) the endings.. Don't forget that Bioware are releasing the 'extended cut' DLC. This is going to take months, which can only be a good thing, because surely that means they're going to work hard on it. Questions will be answered. And it's these un answered questions that seem to be the main issue with the ending (that's the way I see it anyhow).

I've just mentioned two 'problems' that we fans have generally had issues with. Bioware are addressing these problems, whilst still expanding our overall experience with multiplayer, and let's face it, 'Retake Omega' DLC is inevitable, and will be epic, so single-player only fans won't feel left out, surely?

Why not sit back and realise for a minute what BioWare are doing for us, instead of assuming they're not doing a thing, and spewing out hatred. I see how the picture the OP showed us can be seen in a negative light, but why not see it as BioWare making light of the current situation of dealing with unhappy fans? That's not exactly a crime. I think they deserve a laugh after the barrage of fury they have been subjected to.

There, I have submitted my essay, I expect that marking it will take some time.. Digest at your will!

Well considering more people are finishing the game every day I'm assuming it's going to continue.  I try and stay in topics that revolve my viewpoints but I will enter topics that are confrontational.  Personally I'm happy for the people that enjoyed the endings.  But I have problems when people try to dismiss my unhappiness for the game as just whining.   I'm sure people feel the same way on the otherside.  Then you have others that rail on people like me who have gone to the BBB and FTC.  If you don't like it fine, but don't tell me I'm wrong for doing so.

I think a lot of the anger would die down if BioWare would openly talk about things instead of using vague PR tactics.

what? Not all fans spent $300 (I've spent more) and I've enjoyed it quite a bit... so I dont think i'm getting male excrement shoved down my throat... not to mention its not like people FORCE you to play games or nothing.

Besides $$$ spent doesn't automagically make you more of a fan or customer than anyone else. FYI.

Holy sh!t! They're trolling their fans! HAHA!

The only email related to ME3 I got this weekend was from Amazon and it was a list of games I might be interested in. As I'm scrolling through the list, all the games are $60, except for ME3 which was $40. Kinda funny, kinda sad.

It's unbelievable.
The first PR department in history trolling their fans actively.

Sadly,  it isn't the first.  Bethesda included a character in Oblivion that did nothing but mock Morrowind fans,  and then they collectively mocked Fallout fans during development.

But I'm really confused by the intent of this ad.  At this point,  it almost seems to me that EA is self-destructing and the rank & file are passive-aggressively rebelling.  That's the only explanation I can come up with for that mailer,  especially when you consider the various statements made about how the writing occurred,  and the mysterious reddit posts about viral marketing and mass shift.

Then there's the contradictory statements EA's public faces make,  that sound like no one is communicating.

Honestly,  it looks to me like management has lost control of the entire company.  Which wouldn't surprise me,  the only "Win" they've had in a long while is Battlefield 3,  and ToR is starting to look just as big a mess as ME3.

What is so hard to understand about the intent of this AD?
They just stated the truth .

For PR the intent is obvious , turn something negative into a postive spin , and it is working .
Cause it is the truth .

And they just saved there own neck by doing that .
Wonderfull isn´t it ? if people get insulted by the truth , it is cause they are not able to face it .
Most would take a postive spin on it , those people not able to handle it .
Well too bad they wouldn´t be able to handle anything in life .

That people take it as a insult , is cause they are so caught up in there WHINE mode .
Sorry the AD is brilliant , simple undeniable truth , nothing false nothing lies .. just leave out the negativity .
And at the same time get back at people for talking trash about them .
Cause they feel used , all this time they went to bash Bioware .
And result the most talked about game on the media .
