And truth is truth , no matter how you spin it .

sorry the ending and explanation of ME3 might be rubbishe , and PR a failure .

You know my remark was for you , man it is hilarious how quick people are to defend there 0 value opnion to attack somebody else 0 value opnion .

By using exactly the same rubbish they attacked before .
This is even beter then media circus , less classy but fun the less.

hmm am enjoying this a lot .

Dude, this has nothing to do with opinions.  No one knows if the majority like or dislike the ending...PERIOD.

If you want me to respond to you then quote me......I had to figure out what post you were talking about.

Good one.

What no sense , it makes perfect sense , just not for you caught up in meaningless action.

Here am doing something meaningless , and having fun .
Judging people IQ and EQ , and boy are they low so low it is too funny to read .

IQ cause they can't even understand there own tought patterns .
EQ cause they cannot even understand others tought patterns .

so what does that say , it is meaningless .
But don't worry it is FUN none the less .

This is why the most of the community is just horrid... Overreacting over stupid idiotic crap like this.

Spinning the negative fan reaction as something positive is sort of a dick move.

And what do you expect them to do?
Roll over and die?

Also where's the article? I only see people posting and commenting on the picture.

I expect them to not use negative reactions as a means to move more mechandise.

There was no article, just the picture. EA is using it as advertising.

There is an article above the picture. And this tactic is probably the simplest one in exsistence, the forbidden fruit.

It's why movies that conservatives complain about always seem to jump in sales. No publicity is bad publicity, espically when it gets people so worked up over it.

My brother was about to quit mass effect 3 when I told him about the bad ending, now instead of turning it off forever, he spent 5 hoursd rushing to beat the game to see what this bad ending was. He was dissapointed that it didn't suck, but was simply okay. And here in lies the problem, you've been banging your drums and making lots of noise, but in the end all you've done is get more people interested to see just hjow bad this game is, also you got them to do a retcon of the bad endings, so that actually is something really good.

Anyway, congratulations, you guys are those angry parents telling their kids not to see the new movie on camera, and getting everyone to see it out of curiosity.

EA played your drumming up of this issue and made it a controversy selling point.

I almost admire the cunning and balls this type of thing would take, too bad I heard that picture was a fake one that entertainment weekly made up.

Wow the ad implied the that the fans reaction was mostly positive, which by all accounts is bull@#$%.

And I disagree with the author we are not wrong to demand a better ending, since bioware has explicitly promise us 16 quality good endings with no ABC Deux Ex Machina crap. They had falsely advertise to us.

It implies nothing , it just state the truth , that people need to make there own opnion about the truth ....

well that is there all own fault , it does not imply anything other then what is stated .
that you might feel insulted , well that happens but this is a classic .

it just state the truth lol, it just mock humanity lol

I think I love it .

Like I said before. Not all the fan reaction has been bad. They meant in general. Both good and bad. So no, they didn't lie.

You suffer from an acute case of fan-boysim, kid. Stop embarassing yourself.

What's wrong with that picture seems accurate? It has provoked a big reaction and has received lots of perfect scores, it is a great game, even if the end is weaker than I'd hoped.

'The Holocaust! - An event of epic proportions that changed the lives of millions and left its unbelievable mark on humanity's history that will last for lifetimes! A tale which historians will speak of for generations! Witness the incredible experience for yourself!'

Oh hey, accuracy without context. Fun!

very good reply ,@ Gleym .

see it doesn't matter how people want to imply the truth , it is hilarious how they so badly want the truth to fit there cause .

I see truth as truth , not subject to different interpertations .
But guess most cannot accept the truth , have so much need to alter the truth to fit there life .
That is why the disconnect with reality , it is too much lol .

Who are you to tell Ea how to advertise and move merchandise? Do you expect them to just stand still and be stoned to death by angry fans? No, they must seek shelter in this storm.

It's funny, really, how so many Bíodrones now have reached the conclusion that it's okay for Bioware and EA to lie to their faces. That 'beaten housewife' analogy of the fanbase just keeps getting more and more accurate.

I have no stats, but I can say 1 out of 7 of my friends who played it thought the ending "wasn't bad".  Me and the other 5 hate it, with a passion.  I'm waiting for my buddy I loaned it to who was the guy who pestered me for years to play me1 to finish it and get his take.  I have a hunch we'll be batting 1 for 8.

So? And all dozen or so friends of mine who played it liked the endings. It really means nothing.

The fan reaction was good and bad. The way EW worded it was correct, and not a lie. They were including both positive and negative reactions.

Are you an EA/Bioware insider? Probably not, which means you don't know what they were thinking when they made the ad. Your assumption that they included positive & negative reactions is not more valid than another person's assumption that they did not.

Also, companies typically do not advertise negative reactions to their products, so I doubt if anyone were to ask, they would say "Oh yeah, what we meant was that it received a ton of fan reactions, many of which were negative, but hey, many of them were good too. We're just trying to be honest here. Trust us, you should buy it."

A lie based on fact and a lie based on personal opinion are two different things.I have yet to see the former.

It never said the reaction was positive. They didn't lie, just so you know.

Sure they did.

If someone didn't know much about the Mass Effect series and doesn't read a lot of gaming press, they might not have heard about the controversy surrounding the endings. Reading that ad, they aren't going to think the ending was controversial. They are going to read it as something that everyone is raving about. And that is the intention of the suits that created the ad.

You do realize that not all the fan reaction has been bad, right? I think they mean in general.

You do realise no matter what in the word , there is never a 100% agreement on anything !
See GUNS , See Racisme See Feminist See Gay .

It is the general consensus you want , so what even if you do something horrible in the world .
Like creating JEW NASSY.... there is always somebody who approves lol .

and the bolded things are a fact .

edit not jew F word but the N word .. or else it wouldn´t made sense.

How about "it's perfectly acceptable to twist facts in order to garner more false advertisement in hopes of selling a product which has clearly dissatisfied a great number of customers, because I think the people doing so are just dandy!"? I'd say that's a lie based on personal opinion.

I have to give people this , sorry Gleym they did things wrong .
But they are learning fast , look you cannot deny the truth ...
If the truth make most people think it is postive , well in a way it is .

IF the truth makes most people think it is negative , then it is negative .

But the truth is the truth none the less , and this AD is pure genious , cause not a word of twisting .

Nobody's denying the.. 'genius'.. of their PR. I mean, we all took a step back and realized how diabolically clever the Extended Cut DLC was as a PR move as far as tricking people into thinking that they'd listened to feedback. Doesn't stop it from being a d*ck move.

No there PR made tons of mistakes , infact so borderline mistakes . that I tought they would be scrapped ..

They cannot defend the bad ending decision in any logical way .
That doesn´t say PR crap ...

But this AD yeah well I have to give credit where credit belongs .

That is why the NO we wil NOT do ALTERNATE ending is such a PR failure .
Now offcourse they can spin around now and say see , we brought more public .
That is what cooperate pay them to do , so in a way they are just doing there job .

But sadly wish they could just invest those bonus into making a ending that fit the franchise.
But that is not there job . see reality .
