Is it reasonable for a policeman to ask the President of the United States of America to come along on bike patrols for a few months? No.

This is the same situation. Wrex is not just "Krogan Squadmate", Wrex is effectively the Head of State of Tuchanka, and his responsibilities are too great for him to just goof off by joining Shepard's squad. Plus, Krogan need a very hands-on leader.

I'd say that this question could basically be asked of any prior squadmates. Wrex is probably busier and needs to be with his people to be effective. However, pretty much anyone else could join up, really. It's not like the dialogue recorded would be any more wasted than it was for Garrus and Tali.

that is the point our choices should matter and impact the game. if you didnt save him obviously you dont get him(this is how the game currently is anyway so you cant really complain about that)

But if you did save him then it should be POSSIBLE to get him to join.

You already were. You had to deal with Wreav. They should've at least done a temporary squaddie deal with him on Tuchanka, and if you didn't have Wrex, they'd give you Mordin instead. I'd like both forever, but whatever.

I wanted Wrex back, but I can understand why he didn't. He was busy leading the Krogan, a legitimate excuse

 3 reasons

Wrex is too bad ass to be following Shepard around now
If he left the Krogans on their own sh#t would hit the fan, another clan or someone within Urdnot might try and seize power
And cause he's to big a bad ass to follow Shepard around

It's...interesting to see how Wreav did things instead of Wrex.

I mean, I would have liked Wrex more, but at least they put Wreav to fill his place.

If I get a missing companion slot because Wrex was dead, then I would surely have been irritated.

While I was playing the Demo (and had not been online for many, many months, so I knew nothing) I thought - well, I thought many things, that it'd be a ME4 et cetera, but one thing I did think, was that Wrex would at least at some point  fight alongside with me.

Instead, I was disappointed to see that I could talk to the people in London - EXCEPT my old friend Wrex, whom I didn't even get a dialogue option with --- just auto-dialogue. 

edit: I knew from when ME2 was kind of new, that many, like myself, liked Wrex so much. I also knew that BioWare had been listening to their fans before, so I really did expect to see more of him.

Leading all of the krogans was a legit excuse to me so I didn't mind Wrex not sticking with me. Grunt however is another issue. Why couldn't he have taken his team (if they surived) and joined the Normady? The only thing better then one badass Krogan is a whole team of badass Krogans.

Wrex is simply too busy saving and ascending his race above barbarism. As much as it dissapoints me, I understand why he isnt around.

However why GRUNT doesnt join Shepard is beyond me. I would think thats the first thing he would ask. He loves good challenges and kill big things. I bet he would have made a mess on himself the moment we take down the Reaper in Rannoch if he were around.

Sad, really, it's like one important race was missing from my roster...
Like, Grunt could've joined Shepard after (and if) he survives the rachni queen quest.
Grunt had less good of a reason to not join you than Wrex did, the latter being the krogan leader and all that jazz.

@IElitePredatorI: Funny, but since ppl are complaining he took the krogan's place, maybe it would be better with the troll face
