Both the books and the sex scenes with Liara in the series suggest that Asari do it just like human women do. The biological need for certain functions is something best not dwelled on, as the Asari were created so that there would be a romanceable alien character for Shepard. Everything after that is just fleshing out the lore to make them interesting.

Er, they give birth to live young, where do you expect them to come out? Like Namekians and through their mouths? Penetration is a non-issue.

However; there IS an issue as to how "Fun," human sex would be to an Asari, because they evolved without the need for penetration, they logically did not evolve to have penetration feel good. It would essentially be like having sex with your ears.

Hypothetically, wouldn't it be more sensible to have a dual-sexed proto-asari as a crane, that at some point gained the ability to reproduce using melding and subsequently evolved into the mono-sexed asari we see today? If that was the case, any sensitive areas would remain much like humans retained vestigial structures like the appendix.

I am a guy, and I think the developers aren't getting enough nookie. I don't need or want to see their immature fantasies in a game. The android with a ****** was bad enough. Now this. Ugh. 

I do find it curious that their fantasies don't extend to a female human husk. All the human husks are males with their genitals lopped off. When they do get the chance to show female nudity, with Samantha Traynor in the shower and with Commander Shepard in the bed, they suddenly become prudes. The least they could have done I feel was shown them under sheets with their shoulders and upper chest visible.

I think that is as likely an explanation as any. Either the Asari at one point had two sexes, or a recent evolutionary ancestor did, and they retained some vestigial organs/nerve endings.

I don't have issues with nudity. My mother took me to see Ten when I was eight years old. I will be playing The Witcher 2 this week  which will have both male and female nudity.

I have issues with how romances and sexualtiy are approached in this franchise. When I spoke with my mother about EDI having a ******, her response was that the developers were desperate for sex and needed to get out more. I couldn't agree more.

Now, there is a asari husk with genitals. Ugh. What has been seen can't be unseen.

Why not show female human husks with breasts and genitals? 
Why not show the female human characters nude? If you can't show explicitly, do it artistically. In Lost Girl, a Canadian fantasy series, they show side boob, the upper part of the butt crack, and side nudity without showing nipples or bush. Bioware could have done the same. Instead we get the ridiculous situation of a woman bathing in her underwear, and two female characters wearing the same underwear on top of a bed. Stupid. Lame.

The Witcher 2 is a mature game, and, like I said, the game has nudity. I saw one clip in which a female character's bush and nipples are shown. From what I have read, romances are treated in an adult fashion.

As for the M raring, I love this strip from Epantiras. I think she nails it.

Despite not having nudity, I'd say the sex scenes in Mass Effect 3 were handled in a much more mature way the Witcher 2's sex scenes. Nudity doesn't automatically make a game's content 'mature.' In fact it can often be handled in a very juvenile way. As much as I love the Witcher 2 (it is a great game), the sex scenes were handled in a more juvenile way than the Mass Effect games.

I really don't get what's the big deal about "azure" in games.
I mean, you come in to this world from there, and if you're male, you'll spend half of your life trying to get in(to some extent) there again.
