Whenever I think that hole can't get any deeper Bioware/EA release some PR-crap like this... It's like they're trying to reach the centre of the world. With nukes.

This is a screenshot of the email from the official Mass Effect 3 email....

As upset as I am about the end (lack of real variety) the email pic tells truth.  I'm sure this isn't BW's doing but EAs marketing department.

I'm less upset about them using the truth than lying.

You can't really blame Bioware for trying to make up for the sales they've missed out on due to the ending controversy, and the way we care so much about the conclusion really IS a testament to how much we love these games.

Yeah, they're lieing. (a lie of omission is still a lie, as is a lie constructed of truths)

But frankly, I think this is more of a what have we got to lose moment for BW.

I already hated them as much as I possibly could before this.

If only food suppliers and car manufacturers used the same stunt...

Toyota would have been lambasted if they tried that after the whole uncontrollable acceleration problem.

Shameful display...

If there were every a time at which the ME fanbase was being given the bird, it would be now.

I really doubt this is real, its just to... stupid...

Not even a drunk PR department would think that was a good idea.

Seems to be legit. Fox news would be proud.

Hah. Funny because of all the news networks... Fox is the most reliable.

Cut them some slack, they're busily trying to come up with a backstory to explain their "artistic vision"... :)

This is simply an attempt to staunch the bleeding.

You should see the article that they snipped that quote from, some guy posted it in another thread, it was a full article explaining how bad the ending was and what the fan reaction was. It talked about other endings provoking a big fan uproar then it said that quote.

Misquoting critics and articles is a hollywood PR gimic to take a weakness and make it look like a strength. It is dishonest. Not surprising to see Bioware and EA using it.

Hahaha, every score is a "perfect" score, isn't it? Perfect 1, perfect 2, perfect 3....Even Zeros are "Perfect Fails", right?

And it definitely has "provoked the biggest reaction" out of me, seeing as how I utterly hate the ending of ME3 with every fibre of my being. So, yeah, there's that grain of truth in their spin.

I love the EA Troll: it brought me an early-morning laugh. Thanks EA! You're digging your hole deeper and deeper.

I was wondering what the hell all the hubbub here was about for a good twelve minutes. I could not place it, until I reread the e-mail...

I totally missed that the first time. Wow. Way to spin the truth in your favor, EA/BioWare. Lmao.

I just don't get what they were thinking when they made that advertisement.

Even if you have no opinion on the ending, anyone who's been paying the slightest bit of attention to gaming news knows that the "bigger fan reaction than any other" has been OVERWHELMINGLY negative.

Who do they think they're fooling with that quote?
