So, they really give us the finger?

Instead they could just have sent you Trollface with "You hated the ending? Then why did you give us money for the game, sucker."

Point out something in the picture that isn't true, the end has provoked a huge reaction and it's received lots of perfect scores.

It's called reading between the lines.  The tone of the email conflates the fan reaction with the positive reviews and attempts to sell the entire debacle as groundbreaking or unprecedented in a positive way.  While the statements may be technically true, they are not intellectually honest.

Intellectually HONEST taglines and quotes for the game would read:

"Fans are F***ing Pissed!"

"Unprecedented Backlash to one of the most anticipated games of the year"

"An ending so unsatisfactory that we actually had to change it"

Also:  judging by the way you understand "truth," please never, ever watch FOX News.

PR is often in the opposite corner from integrity, morality and truthfulness.

Yeah but this goes beyond that, they are totally avoiding the fact that an overwhelming majority of those responses were negative, there is no 50/50 here we are talking about a massive amount of people that really hated the ending.

Add this to all the PR war and damage control tactics and I'm starting to feel a little insulted, maybe is time to move on to other company or just find another hobby, the industry has changed so much and not for the better xD

I'm going to remain a gamer, for as long as folks as CDProject Red and Supergiant Games are around. (Witcher 2, Bastion) They do their sad endings right, but not only that, CDProject will actually change their endings to be more satisfactory without a huge backlash.

Wow, that is an incredibly deceptive way to market ME3. In company with the 'perfect scores' statement, the comment regarding the ending plainly makes out like people love the conclusions and are buzzing about it. Shameful, dishonest marketing.

This is actually outrageous. I can't believe they actually had the balls to do this.

I don't think I've ever seen a more brazened use of selective quotation, or a bigger middle finger to a company's fanbase.

Only noticed that now?

Plus, they're not only developer that trolls it's fans.
Valve is actually the biggest master in that.

Valve's trolling is mostly good natured though.
And Valve are allowed to troll, they deserve it.

unfortunately though... just like with the pre-release hype (multiple endings... we have em, the differences are so minor to be inconsequential, but technically they really are multiple different endings)... nothing in it is false, so no false advertising.

just a very very very ugly marketing tactic.  this is spin at its absolute worst.  heh, this is the sort of thing i expect from presidential candidates and their crony lobbyist groups (from both the democrats and republicans, before anyone takes this to a place that won't end nicely), not a video game publisher.

Seriously, what have we done to BW in the course of the trilogy to make them despise us so much?

Could they have pissed any more on us. I mean talk about adding insult to injury....

I think this is the final proof that their opinion of their fans and consumers is that they are all stupid sheep to be milked for their cash.

I've been ****ing a lot lately but this is the final straw sealing the deal for me. No more $$$ for EA.
