You unconditionally despise them.
I'm surprised they even want to make games anymore.

Nope, not unconditionally.
I was lied to about what would be in the game; given a rushed and poorly produced resolution, and then treated like a child for being upset about it.
My current dissatisfaction with Bioware is conditional upon (1) the promises they make vs. the products they provide, and (2) their response to my criticisms as a consumer.
A large part of that dissatisfaction was lifted when Ending DLC was announced, even if I'm skeptical that it's going to modify the product that I was sold into something that matches what I (again, as a consumer) was promised.
If they manage to do that, my dissatisfaction will be lifted and replaced by conditional fandom once again.
People are upset about this email because it again shows that Bioware seems demonstrate a fairweather relationship to it's fans. A good business (read: business, not artist) should respect it's customers both when they're happy AND upset with the product.

How would Apple handle the situation if it released a product that got a similar reaction? It clearly is both, a cold hearted company and seems artistic.
And they near close did: the iphone 4 had a broken antenna and Steve Jobs reply was: "You're holding it wrong". But they managed to get themselves out of the fiasco.

Definitely not purchasing anything published by EA again. Call me butthurt, but damn. Definitely not the "worst company in America" compared to some others, but in the video game industry right now? Surely. Even above Activision, which is crazy for me.
It's a sad day when my favorite big publisher-developer is Ubisoft. They consistently screw over PC gamers, but at least most of their games hold their own on consoles. The new Ghost Recon, Assassin's Creed 3, Far Cry 3 - they all look great. And... untainted.
CD Projekt RED, like most here, is probably still my favorite developer. Good bunch of guys, and I've never even really liked the first Witcher game. Just couldn't finish it. I have yet to play the second, and don't know if I'll like it. But I'll get it when it arrives on Xbox regardless, cause I'm willing to give them another try. (Also a huge fan of the books... wish I was fluent in Polish, though... English versions are behind).

It's clear that EA took the statement out of context. And EW is not the reason people are capslocking over it, it's EA converting it to positive PR.

Not even a drunk PR department would think that was a good idea.
Since I got it.
Sure, would apprecate it. Pej55@hotmail.com
Still skeptical thats just so incredably under handed. Well I guess they didn't actually lie about anything.

It's more sad and pathetic than anything..... It's a pretty good PR move tho.... If your a company that cares nothing for a portion of your fan base..... (EA/Bioware)

They hurt us first. And if they don't want to make games anymore that's fine with me. It's better than them turning our dislike into a seling point.

And that would be a shame. No EA to make games truly generic!? What would we gamers DO!?

They can find a great quote from all those 75 perfect score review. The reason that they decided to quote that specific line is either they want to make fun of the angry fans or someone in the PR department is not thinking.
