Should probably stop with the Fox News debate, guys. I have thoughts but I'm going to leave them out to help facilitate said stoppage.

This is good spin and marketing. Can't blame them for trying, right? It's marketing's job to sell the product as well as they can, and what they stuck in there is sort of true even though we know it's dishonest in many ways. It is certainly silly to see from where I'm standing, but it IS their job to market and sell.

And I can't really blame Electronic Arts for trying to salvage something out of this mess through clever marketing.

Ok dude we get it. You don't like Fox News. The fact that you are wrong and that the other news networks are a thousand times more dishonest should have nothing to do with the fact that this ad... this email sent to Bioware's fans and customers was just terrible.

Eh no... I don't debate on here unless it has to do with Mass Effect 3. When you brough in your incorrect assessment into my thread, I corrected you. Fox News is about a thousand times more truthful than other news outlets and a thousand times more reliable. Thats not saying Fox News is good. That is putting in perspective the terrible nature of the media in general... as seen in this ad. Going above and beyond to twist something to fit a narrative. Like any news network would do. Except Fox... cuz apparently you hate them and that amuses me.

The American Media is pretty terrible when it comes to news, but Fox News IS the worst.

They are openly and unashamedly a mouth piece of the Republican party. It's straight up sickening seeing the Republicans use Fox News to dupe people into buying into their messed up ideals.

Like, I wont argue that the other news outlets are bad, but Fox IS the worst. There is no arguement here.

Me too because I hate the liberal media and how awful it is BUT... I stay on target because I see how bad this is and I actually care about this.

The liberal media is bad (imo, in some ways just as bad as fox news), but seriously, taking Fox News' word as anything but a joke is a serious disservice to yourself, my friend.

It's not about liberal, or conservative. There is a group of people actively trying to destroy america and give it fully to the corporations. Fox News is its mouth piece, and this political divide of right/left conservative/liberal is their weapon.

Don't buy into it. The only reason these people can do it is because they fool people with artificial political divisions and dupe them into voting for them with fear and hate mongering.

I gotta admit I'm not a big fan of that ad. I take that pretty personally...that's kind of a slap in the face. It's almost as if they're taking this negative controversy and turning it into something that's good for the game and good for them. It's like taking our guns and turning them on ourselves.

Look, I'm not a hardcore ending hater I have a number of positive feelings from the ending. I am an active part of this community because I love the game, I love BioWare's nutty creative ability, and I want to support the community. But to see this? It makes me feel like my time and effort is being purposefully turned against me. I'm not personally blaming anyone or any company, and I know that whoever is deciding to this it's completely within their power. But I'm still saddened by it.

I was totally getting over the whole Mass Effect's ending issue and was starting to feel like 'oh well, Bioware made a mistake', but...that's just uncalled for.

It really does feel like a 'slap in the face' to those who didn't like the ending, which is most likely the majority of people.

haha wow.. Just got done reading the article where the author eventually expresses his disappointment with the ending.. Shameless EA/Bioware.. Who are they even trying to convince anymore?


PS: Fox News is F*cking ridiculous.. Watching/believing anything that comes from that channel is like drinking an insanity flavored milkshake.

I'm confused. Where did this PR team get their education from? This ending controversy has produced some of the most badly handled PR in a while.
