Point out something in the picture that isn't true, the end has provoked a huge reaction and it's received lots of perfect scores.
You realize that's what people are mad about right? The spinning?
Right?

From our point of view, it feels like it is skewing our frustrations with the game and Bioware to market their product, but I am sure it wasn't their intention to upset us, it was just a side effect of responding to our criticisms of their product to potential customers and encouraging them to buy.

Obviously, it is not 'aimed' at us. It is aimed at new customers put off by the numerous negative reviews and fan recommendations out there, convincing them to buy it and see for themselves.
It is a question of who the message is targeted at, and they are not going to shoot their own product in the foot, and they want to respond to the inevitable feedback potential customers have received about Mass Effect. They kept everything positive related to the trilogy, and don't assume that these players will dislike the ending, which is good, on their part.
It kinda feels marketed to the morbidly curious, who will want to 'know what all the fuss is about'. Trust me, there is a market for that.

Oh, they will find out soon enough.
Once they purchase the product.

Yeah, um, I never said that. But thanks for the quote?
Personally, it's almost fun to make you guys angry now. I dislike the ending as much as the next guy, but the fact that you people will rage over the tiniest little headline... Melodramatic much?

On the ethics of quoting:
While minor modifications are permissible, you must never present the quote in a manner that changes the author's original meaning. Especially if done with the purpose of distorting the author's intention and/or manufacturing support for an entirely different argument, intentionally changing the meaning of a quote is academically dishonest and risks severe penalty.

So it makes sense that the ending of Mass Effect 3 has provoked a bigger fan reaction than any other videogame’s conclusion in the medium’s history. Because the Mass Effect franchise told one cohesive story across three games — roughly 120 to 150 hours of game play, probably longer than it would take to read the complete Lord of the Rings trilogy — the better comparison point is to one of the many long-running serialized narratives that have come to dominate the geeky end of the pop culture spectrum. Think of film trilogies or sci-fi TV shows or literary sagas; think The Matrix or Lost or Battlestar Galactica or The Dark Tower.

That is wrong since the game in no way other then secondary audio dialogue that can easily be missed explains or supports any reasonlable reason or showing of anything that you do in the game as far as decisions.

Perhaps. The rage has it's use however. Remember that it is easy to ignore reasoned opinion on the internet. It is also easy to ignore a few raging individuals. A large mob of raging people though? That is very difficult to ignore. While I condemn any of the more extreme reactions, the rage as a whole is useful.
Plus that email really is bull****.
