As much as it makes me feel bad for focusing on bad stuff (and I'm apparently a masochist because I continue to do it), I will participate here.
Allers hits my #1 least. While she adds some peripheral story stuff, I just don't feel it worked well.
Runner up is that guy that walks around either the CIC or Crew Deck. I feel that guy actually distracts from rather than adds to the ambience of the ship.
(I don't get the dislike for Vega, though. I didn't like the jarhead at first and avoided him, but after focusing on him for a whole playthrough, he's actually fairly good to have for kicks and grins -- not as good as having Joker for a squadmate, but at least he doesn't break a rib from sneezing.)

yeah no reason to go with Allers there over Wong. They just completely killed off Wong basically, all she gets in the 2nd game is an email. 3rd game nothing at all from what I remember, not even a news report. Stinks of quid pro quo from IGN to Bioware. BUt you can ignore allers completely. You can't ignore the two airheads guarding the door to the war room. Their dialogue is just so stupid to me. So simplistic, and cliche/contrived. I don't know, its hard to explain. But when they talk I can't help but constantly roll my eyes at what they say.
