Will you guys finally say, "Hah! Bioware deserved it for f**king up my ending!" or "Bioware should have been closed down for delivering false promises."

So many fans are already declaring they will never fork out another cent for a ME3 DLC, or another Bioware game, some even lodging official complains or attempting to put billboards up to protest about the ending. It's all nothing but bad press for EA and making Bioware look bad.

In the unfortunate event if EA closes Bioware down because of so many fans complaining, will you guys be satisfied at last? Note: I mean EA stripping Bioware of its most talented developers, filing them into its other divisions and throwing out the rest.

(This thread is directed at the people who are especially vocal about their hatred of the ending, or of Bioware in general)

I don't care either way. BioWare doesn't make good games anymore. That third person shooter Mass Effect 3 sucked gameplay wise. I trudged through that boring shootfest and bad linear level design for story, and the ending was brutal, but so was the whole deus ex machina crucible, gutted dialogue options and looting a 2 year old could've done. Not to mention massive, widespread bugs and technical issues.

I have no sympathy for liars who lie to my face and give me the finger.

I have to say Fieryeel, I don't see your point. If Bioware have made people that angry, then people are going to be angry, if that gets Bioware shut down, then it's not really the fault of the fans. Fans don't complain when they're happy.

Ha no, EA will do what is best for EA regardless. If that means stripping assets then it has nothing to do with complaints. Some threads have delusions of grandeur.

I want to see bw pick it up quality wise not close down. Which I thought they'd done with ME3 until that train wreck of an ending :crying:

And I labeled DA2 as 'slashing fest'! I like your attitude.

I don't need to complain about an ending over the internet to get my satisfaction. I just listen to this instead. I's hardly say it would kill off BioWare. Will it drive down sales? Probably. Will it affect what kind of DLC comes after the fan rage? Also likely. But killing it off completely? Eh... Outlook not so good.

Bioware closing down will happen regardless of the games they're producing now. Just look at what happened to Westwood and other companies who were taken up by EA. Eventually EA will suck everything out of what the Bioware studio has to offer as well and just leave it to die like those other companies. The influence of EA has been clear ever since DA 2 was released. RPGs aren't RPGs anymore, but rather imitations of RPGs with action-based elements. Games are becoming streamlined too. Personally I can't forgive EAware for what's happened to ME 3, a game that was supposed to form the conclusion to one of their biggest flagship franchises. Seriously, excuse my language, but how could they have been so unbelievably dumb to let the whole ME series end like that? Face import bug, messed up quest journal, day one DLC found on the disc, Tali's face being just a photoshop of a random stock image...Is this what EAware calls 'artistic integrity'? Really? More like 'artistic hypocrisy'. Yeah, this is hypocrisy. Just look at all of the promises that were made before ME 3 was released. Lots of different endings. The final game had just three. A personalised adventure. Whole the game was linear and whatever you did in the past actually doesn't matter, the galaxy gets blown up either way. What are you doing, Bioware? What has happened to you guys? Seriously, I don't understand. Maybe it's just my fault for not being willing to accept the fact that Bioware has changed. I don't know. As for now, I'm just waiting for how DA 3 will turn out. If it's just another failure like DA 2, then I will no longer call myself a Bioware fan.

Hundreds of people potentially losing their jobs?

Uhhh no. I don't think that would satisfy me whatsoever.

if bioware goes under, then it goes under. Blaming the fans wont get them anywhere.

I'd think I'd laugh. I don't want Bioware to close but maybe if they were free from EA they could be free to do what they want.

There is this wonderful thing called "The Free Market" and companies thrive or die by the goods they produce and the demands for those goods. It is not for me to support something I don't want.

I would consider there to be four endings actually.

One of the red endings showed Earth being destroyed, the other red had Earth being intact and my Shepard surviving.

And anyway, Bioware said the galaxy didn't get blown up. The mass relays simply ceased to function, but mostly everyone survives and can still travel, just...more slowly.

If it closes, it closes. Failure can't be blamed on the market, that's business 101. If a developer fails, it's their inability to produce a product their market is willing to pay for, not the market's fault. The developer has an obligation to produce a product their customers want to buy, the market has no obligations.

I think its much more probable EA may downsize Bioware unless there were some legal incidents which they would have to change the name or close Bioware on that basis, but I don't see that sort of issue occurring. As for me, my issue is with EA and Origin, my only issue with Bioware is they are part of EA and as a result are in support of Origin.

So if I hate ME3's ending, that means I should also hate Bioware and simply become "satisfied" if EA shuts down Bioware?

That makes no sense.

Seriously OP, you really believe that we want Bioware to fix ME3's ending because we "hate" Bioware?

What Ivandra posted is what will eventually happen, thats how EA operates. Bioware is not the first and it will not be the last company EA sucks dry then discards once they have milked them for all they figure they can get.

Even if I hated he ending (which I dont) why would I be happy? If they closed down it would mean lots and lots of people lsot their jobs if nothing else, in todays economy, why would I wish that upon someone else?

Then you are not an immature brat.

Because as seen from that past thread, there were people who genuinely wanted Bioware staff to lose their jobs and suffer for ME3's ending.
