I hope that actions like this solidify people's resolve when it comes to leaving Bioware and not purchasing their games any more.

Can't argue with that assessment, however, what's the betting the reason we got this "ending" was due to resources being diverted to MP?

Well, the resources had to come from somewhere, and I found it very telling you cannot achieve the EMS required for the breath ending without MP or an ios app, granted one of the apps is free, but you are still required to register your credit card.

Anytime anyone has to preface what they're about to say with "no offense, but..." the exact opposite is meant. That said, I agree with you.

Why leave?, just don't purchase, I'm personally waiting for the free extended DLC, then I will make up my mind if I want to continue purchasing their products.

Or just hack the saved game. Yeah, their methods leave a lot to be desired. ME3 is definitely my last pre-order
from them. Now EA have them making a C&C game. Look what happened to Westwood after EA had them making games outside their comfort zone. Things aren't looking good.

Got to love the spin in the ad.

It's the truth, they've just taken it out of context.

EC DLC title: Dream of Conquest and Space Magic.

(Geeze, hope I don't get banned again (shudder))

I don't think BW should go under, so to speak; but I do think they, and EA, should do better by their customers.

lol, the ending isn't controversial because it's bold or something, then I would've agreed with using the quote in the article, but it's controversial because it sucks ass.

I wouldn't blame BioWare for using that quote, though, and I doubt any of the developers have had any hand in this. It's just marketing.

That is a very nice add/picture!
...s/he who finds the dripping sarcasm in the above statement shall keep it ;)

I'm not even surprised any more... It seems that with every (PR-)statement bioware/EA do their best to dig that hole deeper. If you want to get out of such any hole, the first step would be to stop digging one might think... And every time my thoughts are something like "It can't get any worse now, can it?" just to be taught better by their PR-department.

Not really, though. The C&C game will be done by a completely different studio that has nothing to do with BW, really. EA is just slapping the name Bioware on the box for brand recognition.

i have to admit, the longer i stay away from the game the angrier i get with myself to have been sucked in by all the promises.  as soon multi payer was mentioned i should have known. integrity would have been to be honest and to announce that me3 will be a very different game to the previous installments.  but then again, they knew a lot of people wouldn't have pre ordered or even invested because right from the beginning there was an outcry for verification that the single player gameplay wouldn't suffer. so they knew very well right from the beginning that single players would not get their moneys worth out from it. the first thing i noticed was the menue option of choosing if i wanted auto dialogue or the conventinal game play dialogue wheel (which is seriously broken up).  characters talking to shep with their backs turned on him/her in one liner dialogue.  i never knew when the "conversation was over"!  talk about making some one look unwanted and foolish. garrus couldn't bring himself to say "can it wait i have some calibration.....to finish?" shep gets a rude "later".!?!?! ...the"don't press the button" dialogue  easter egg.

i can laugh about my disappointment now and cut my losses.  for bioware it is a win win situation. they have a new enruptured consumer crowd, gushing how wonderfull multi player is and bioware got rid of myself as the pesky single player, who once belonged to the paying crowd that made it possible for bioware to achieve their new favourite toy. i do admire integrity!

Pretty much the attitude of the publisher/developer has been, "Our critics are the important ones here! you just shut your mouth and continue to be the dumb ATM we expect out of you."

Two comments. 1. Free addition to the multiplayer. Was originally to have been for the money. I think it's the olive branch of peace for the fans. 2. Ext DLC in spite of the statement that this clarification in fact there is information that there will be an alternative end.

Under no criteria is ME3 a 1 star game.

I like how the thread title starts with "no offence".
I mean, come on, it's pretty clear who the offender is here.

EDIT: Hint: s/he didn't post in this thread (yet).

No it's a great game aside from the last ten minutes, GOTY if not for that. But I think Bioware deserves it for falsely advertising.

Even then a 1 star is absurd. The game is easily in the top 10% of the ranking scale. You can't judge the game based on lofty promises by enthusiastic ambitious developers, that's not fair to the game.

Woah! Really Bioware/EA? This is just shameful and pathetic. I can't believe you would advertise this way.

So you reject the cupcakes but you find it ok to crap on your fans like that? Like the fan reaction was positive?

You know, Trayvon shooting also had a lot of reaction in the media yet it's not portrayed as a good thing by the NRA.

I like how the title says "no offense" and then you say something offensive.
