Two comments. 1. Free addition to the multiplayer. Was originally to have been for the money. I think it's the olive branch of peace for the fans. 2. Ext DLC in spite of the statement that this clarification in fact there is information that there will be an alternative end.
1) Was not an olive branch but a clever move to make further complaints seem very childish. Though most will not see that the MP and SP should be treated very separately.
2) Please provide black and white from devs saying that there definitely will be an alternative ending.

Woah, what? I'd like some proof for point two as well please.

Not really, though. The C&C game will be done by a completely different studio that has nothing to do with BW, really. EA is just slapping the name Bioware on the box for brand recognition.
I heard the same thing when people were expressing concerns about the drop in standards for DA2, and fears of the same happening to ME3. "They are different studios," sorry I'm not buying it.

im offended enough to feel i need to rent the next ME game before i buy it.
which is weird becase there was a time in my life i litereally "loved" mass effect. never thought thered be a day where i thought "meh" about mass effect.
so id say ME3 offends me.

They more they blow us off with PR talk and tactics, bad games and shameless money-grabbing this quote is 100% correct.
The worst part is EA and the fatcats at the top will still be rich but careers of our devs at BioWare will take a hit, as well as the company itself.

And they can't do that Bioware is great at telling stories not action movie games. The ending was bd because EA wanted the franchise to come full circle so people would try ME1, but it should have ended like how Bioware wanted. A fallen hero for the lives of many or a miracle play, not this shep must die and the franchise needs to climax and die in the last game. Dumb.

Any time someone starts out something with 'No offense', you know it'll be offensive and probably shocked when it actually isn't. Which, this post isn't. Sorry. There's a couple of these 'Bioware must go out of business for X Y Z reasons'. I don't want to be offensive but this thread is already old hat.
True. Should have used "With all Due Respect" instead.

But how is this worse? Just because it's Mass Effect/Bioware/EA?
Edit: Also, I sincerely hope that Bioware does not go out of business. Does a better ending to their next game? Yes, please yes. Dies and never makes another game again ever because of some disappointing stuff in their last few titles and some disingenuous marketing by EA? Good God No. And some of the most extreme hyperbole on these boards seems to be trying to force them out of business. That's some really hateful stuff there.

Bioware doesn't need you. They have 75 perfect scores!
They don't need ANY of you!
cue dramatic music.
And now we fight!

This suggests to me that Bioware doesn't think the ending is actually a narrative failure - a mistake - but rather that it's just not very popular. That's a problem in the company, because it suggests that the folks who were in charge of using that ending are still in charge (when they shouldn't be).
I realize it is just advertisement, but for many fans like the OP it will feel like a slap in the face. Bioware is dishonestly using the notion of how the ending is "provoking" so much fan reaction. Endings can "provoke" thought from the player, or deep emotional empathy, or some other type of relevant cathartic emotional experience. Completely fail endings provide no catharsis and "provoke" outrage. Yes we say the endings in both cases "provoke" a reaction, but the two "provokings" cannot be more different, and it is dishonest to imply they are similar (as Bioware does in its advertisement).
Look, after 2772 ratings on Metacritic (for PC, which I play), ME3 has an abysmal 3.8 player score (though a critical score of 8.9). If that doesn't wake the company up from denial then little will. (Hint: players will not buy 3.8 games unless they are in the discount heap.)
