Basically, I purchased NWN2 around 2 to 3 years ago or a year after it came out. I just tried to reinstall it today and I am missing my activate codes. HOWEVER, i put them on the bioware site as in I registered the game. BUT AS OF TODAY neither NWN1 NOR NWN2 is showing up as a registered game for me....I dunno what happened and now i'm slightly annoyed since I thought th reason for putting it on the site was incase you lost your codes...which i did....

You registered them on the old forums, which no longer exist. These new ones don't have an option to register NWN1&2.

Really sorry to hear this. I know it is probably little consolation, but you are not the first person to have this problem. It is disappointing that when bioware let their boards go down, they didn't create an alternative. The best advice I have is to shop around online or wait for a sale. NWN2 platinum has been as low as $5 in the past, so you should be able to recoup your losses for a little more than a frappuchino at starbucks. I know that it's the principle of the thing and bioware should have been more responsible, though.

If by chance you still have your original install on an old drive or something, then you're codes can be found in your nwnplayer.ini or nwncdkeys.ini (don't recall the exact names at the moment).

what happened to your old manuals? as mentioned if you don't have an old drive where nwn1/2 is already installed your keys are simply lost. just buy another copy from steam which includes all the patches and expansions for just a few dollars. should be the best solution for being lazy with the manuals :P

Mmm its not that I didn't take care of them. I had them up until a few weeks ago before I cleaned house, im sure I'll find the box again but I dont know how long that will take. I just find it disappointing that I spent my money on a good game made by a good company, i trusted that they could keep my keys safe and secure, and ironically they are the ones who "destroyed" them essentially. I don't mind spending another 5 dollars but I was hoping there was some kind of alternative. Thanks anyways.

Just a point of clarification. NWN2 was made by Obsidian, a good company.

Your keys were destroyed by bioware...

Harumph!
