I just received this error, was about to fight some abominations and undead in the middle of the 3rd floor in the mage's tower. Opened the door, and the game froze. Alt-tabbed and got nothing. Ctrl-Alt-Del and it pulled up the C++ Runtime error, Pure Virtual Function Call.

I've gotten that a few times too running Windows 7. I've gotten it in Lothering and a few other places on area transitions and even during some battles. I forget which file caused it the last time... But it was in C:/Program Files (x86)/Dragon Age/bin_ship.

I'm getting this right before the Landsmeet save.  The problem is, I want to go to Wardens Peak to get some items before I go and start the end, and also make a different selection.  The first way I played the end by sparing Loghain, but I want to go from the save and keep Allistair.  Now I can't get out of Denerim to get my gear squared away.  Any suggestions?   How about the repair game function from the launcher?  I'm going to try it and see.
