So I guess it's a matter of team spirit, if I see the team split up. I tend to go where there's allready 2 heading usualy the 4th player tends to follow. If I see them camp a spot, I usualy cover the rear flank, but remember to look around if the team moves.

People by now know exactly what to expect from each map and wave, if it was dynamic like L4D maybe.

No way are we ever going to complete a gold/silver game without communication
uhhh ... I do silver runs all the time and never have used a mic. I just completed 4 silver matches in a row with silent teams. 3 of those I carried the team solo through numerous waves.
I don't need a mic to talk to randoms, never will and don't plan to start. I only reserve that for friends. If I can play a game like Halo 3 and get a level 50 in Team slayer easily with no mic I'm fairly certain in a co-op game I'll be fine ... which I am lol
Having a mic is not always needed or beneficial to every person using one. Having excellent awareness and tactical movement is.

I am sick of starting SIlver/Gold games and people with their mic's turned off join them. No way are we ever going to complete a gold/silver game without communication, turn it on, there is no excuse.
I have taken to going back to lobby if a player tries to join with no mic or a level -10 level player on silver/gold.
Am I right?
I completed many gold games where noone had said a word during during the entire game. If people know what they are doing comunication is not neccesary to win althought you might beat the map faster in the end it does not matter

I'm in an Xbox Live party talking to friends so i don't have to listen to you scream and blame the team when in reality you suck.SpartanAaron001 wrote...

I only use my mic when:
A) I'm playing with friendsI join a game and see everyone else has a mic (they tend to be polite and ask me to plug it in ..... Most of the time)
Also what do you mean no excuse? They might not own a mic for what ever system they're playing the game on ....
Also I've played on gold as a level 1 and was last man standing
Sorry, i was referring to Xbox. All xbox's come with a mic.

What? I complete silver games every day without anyone using the microphone.

It all comes down to wether or not the person knows how to play. Having a mic isn't going to change that.

Wednesday, I finished my latest 20 of this round, and true to form, I promoted all my characters. That left me at absolute level 1 for each character. No +XP cards from the store, nothing. I took my level 1 Infiltrator into a silver match, no mic, no nothing, and came in second on the score board, and it was a full dust off, and it was a damn fine time. Got to level 7 after that match. Played several more matches, and finished my gaming session off at level 18. Of course, there were two wipes and a disconnect. But I had a great time, and I think the players I was with for most of those matches had a good time too... at least when one of us clicked Ready, everyone else clicked Ready, and that kind of says it all, don't you think?

So, your suggestion is to replace a bad system with one that's even worse? You might just as well go back to using carrier pigeons (which I'm pretty sure some people are already doing, having failed to notice that IPoAC/RFC1149 was a joke)you can also use Skype you know

To me constant chatter is a distraction and does more harm than good.
ED> Besides, Rambo wannabes won't turn into team players just because they plug the mikes in.

Its also funny to listen to some reactions to what happens in-game, as well as congratulate somebody on a good strategy they did. It adds to the game for the most part, although there are some people who abuse it, but pretty rare. Almost always the mics are off ( xbox ), so I appreciate it when the mics are on. We can also discuss class selection on the load screen to help get the best squad on the field.

I agree to a certain extent, someone pointing out flanking enemies or saying theyll go for an objective or dont need/want a rez because theyre swarmed/using gel is really helpful. Had some guy saying gg after a fun gold run recently and felt kinda bad about not replying but on the other hand you got lotsa clueless people or the other extreme, people with mics who b*tch and whine constantly and sorry, too lazy to "educate" (theyd feel like im berating or ordering them anyway, besides not my thing) the first and just dont wanna socialize with the latter.
Ill try to make an effort to say gg after a good run in the future tho, happy?
