Besides, talking usually means I run into people who are:
A) Annoying
C) Drop the f-bomb every other word
D) All of the above!
I much prefer my friends in party chat. More entertaining, more awesome banter, better strategizing, less idiocy.

I am sick of starting SIlver/Gold games and people with their mic's turned off join them. No way are we ever going to complete a gold/silver game without communication, turn it on, there is no excuse.
I have taken to going back to lobby if a player tries to join with no mic or a level -10 level player on silver/gold.
Am I right?
Ok, to all you douches who keep saying you dont need it... I know it might not be nessasary but it would sure as hell make the game better,
It's a team game afterall, now stop trolling my post.
So... i'm completely and utterly wrong?
So you don't wish your team would tell you that a cloaked hunter or Phantom is lurking round a corner when you go to revive them? rather then you die too? You'd rather waste your rocket ammo because someone else fires a rocket at the same time, wasting it... Sorry but playing a team game WITHOUT a mic is stupid, pointless and annoying for everyone else. I rest my case.
Call me an idiot, a douche bag or an angry person if you like, but you can't justify it. An xbox headset cost like £5.

OP, what about hearing impaired people? And people from other countries that don't have practice speaking and listening to english folks? Should they not play even on silver where voice chat is not needed at all even with random players (as long as they have a clue about what they're doing)?
Don't tell me now that they should just play with their friends, as some people's friends are not really into Mass Effect, shooters, or gaming in general. And, as you don't know each person's situation, you shouldn't generalize in your posts.

My point is that, as he doesn't know why people don't use their mics, he shouldn't be that rude. I just mentioned some examples, other posters have said many others. And, for all I care, "I don't want to hear you" is reason enough, and no one should be calling names anyone else because of a trivial thing like a mic (that it's not needed at all). If someone doesn't like it, leave the group, play with your friends, or, I don't know, give an opportunity to "no mic" players, but stop making threads like this one that bring nothing positive.JMCatrow wrote...

You also shouldn't bring up stuff that happens less than 1% of the time as if everyone should be on the look out for it constantly. It's just as annoying as the "what about the children" crowd.
