And my God, what a game, the combat is a wonky and a tad bit outdated, but that's not why I love it, actually having control over your Shepard feels fantastic, no matter how illusionary it is. And that Citadel, I forgot just how big it was, and dropping onto your first Uncharted planet really makes the game feel huge, no matter how repetitive it can get, the vistas, looking out at double moons etc, is beautiful.

The last time I played ME 1 was about 2 years ago, so it kinda feels fresh.

yeah great game ism't it? I wouldn't say 1 is thebest because for me 2 is my favourite of the series but I do olve all 3 games and crossign my Shepard from one game into another that was a very clever idea by those who made the series as it certainly adds to the gameplay and makes the seriesd worth playing moer than omce rehardless of how ME3;s ending turned out. Plrase note this is only my opinion so nio need yo bash me on ME3's ending becayse I have seen it twice now

Yeah I'm running a second play through with my existing Shep Vanguard Paragon, picked up so many things I had missed the first time I had played the game, looking forward to finishing that off and moving onto ME2, and see how that one goes, he's already full paragon, maxed out omni-gel and credits, and almost level 58 and I haven't got to Virmire yet.

I just wanna say that, the Mass Effect series just wouldn't have been as awesome as it is without the experience of Mass Effect 1. I'm not debating which one individual game is the best..I couldn't if I tried.

I'm just saying, the experience that got etched in the back of your mind fueled the drive to keep at it. The image of Citadel, the introduction to the events, that chat with Kaidan and Ashley overlooking the Citadel at the beginning of the game..These images completed Mass Effect 2 in places where Citadel might not have been as thorough...you get the point.

Best in the series by far, from the dialogue system, coversations, exploring and RPG elements. Interestingly enough, IMO, the facial animations and body language used in the game during any NPC conversation engagement is still the best. ME3 really slipped there (what's espeially with the bug eyed looks on almost all NPCs in ME3?). Remember talking to Liara the first time in her quarters on the Normandy? Remember asking about her research and how lonely it seems. She would look down to the floor, back up and shyly say with apropos facial expressions that she has a hard time interacting with people and that she's better being by herself working with her data (paraphrasing here).

Those days are gone, and they were before EA came into Bioware's world <_<

@Tommy6860, O yes, I have just started a new play through of the first game as well and the expressions during the conversation scenes are way above anything in the ME2/3.

I also think the voice acting has much better pace with considerably less melodramatic voice raising. As for the feeling of being immersed in the world, ME1 is head and shoulders above the the rest.

The Galaxy map is also way prettier to look at. Even the camera movement is smoother.

Shame.

You gotta email ea support, same thing happened to me.

Don't worry though, I and everyone else I spoke to say EA repsonded within a few hours with a new key
