 As im sure most of you know, a mass effect movie is going to come out soon. I know there's been some confusion lately on whether or not it'll be based of the game or not, but, nevetheless, who do you think would be the best romantic interest for shepard that would benifit the movie the most? (its going to be male shep btw)

Hmmm... story-wise I'd say Tali, because I can see the mask removal scene to be
something cinematic and special.
Ashley Williams or Miranda would also work well.

And the movie really needs some Garrus bromance....

If they do make a movie, it'll be a male Shepard and the LI will be Liara, of that I have no doubt.

If they did FemShep/Kaidan I'd be there right away, but that's never going to happen

It won't be Tali or Jack, I can tell you that much. Hollywood tends to go with a specific type for this sort of thing, and neither of them are it. It'll either be Liara or Ashley, I'm guessing; either way I already know that Ashley's getting saved on Virmire.

It would be who ever has the highest sex appeal, so miranda, (maybe ashley) sex sells at the end of the day.

For the record I think Tali should be the only choice, by far the best LI in the game.

If it gets made its going to be dude Shepard so the options are Ashley or Liara and its really toss up over who they will go with. Ashley was all over the ME1 advertisments and had much more real dialogue then Liara who was just a walking codex page during the first few conversations with her.

Im not a gambling man but if I had to bet my money is on Ashley.

As much as Liara seems like the obvious answer, I'm thinking it'll probably be Ashley... Unless they can somehow render the Asari really well, and even then, audiences might not see the appeal of the relationship since she's an alien.
Not that I'm really interested in the movie, I think we all know what happens to video game movies...

Pff... Captain Kirk slept with green space babes in the 60's, before it was cool. Just paint them blue this time and attach some.... "tentacles" to the back of the head and done is the Asari romance in the movie

They are not that different than humans after all. If they can do Orcs, Dr. Manhattan or "Prawn", they can surely do Asari.

I can't imagine Mass Effect being movie. It will be extremely hard to make this movie good.

Which would also eliminate the competition, so Liara could be Shepard's sole love interest.

...Also, watch Shep get it on with Sha'ira 'cuz, y'know. Sex sells and all that.

If they off Ash on Virmire they should really cast Michelle Rodriguez. She fits Ash's looks and we all know that she just plays strong women that die halfway trough the movie.

I kind of hope it's not going to be Liara. Even though I'll probably never watch that movie, I highly doubt they could do her character or romance any justice in a movie. So for the sake of not messing up her character to try attracting more 12 year old boys, I hope she's not Shepard's LI in the movie.
